A massive global pornography investigation has uncovered links to more than 2,300 people in Canada. But police say their efforts have been hampered by the lack of a coordinated national strategy.

"This is a global problem requiring both a national strategy and an international strategy," Det.-Sgt. Paul Gillespie, who heads up the Toronto police force's sex crime unit, told a news conference Thursday.

The international probe was sparked by the arrest of an American couple who were convicted in 2001 of operating a child pornography. The Dallas-based business was bringing in more than $1 million US each month with more than 250,000 customer around the world.

U.S. authorities came up with thousands of names when they began investigating the Dallas-based operation.

"The database revealed that in Canada there were 2,329 names," Det. Insp. Bob Matthews of the Ontario Provincial Police told a Toronto news conference.

"This is the largest investigation of child pornography ever undertaken in Canada," he added

The Canadian probe, which involves 30 police agencies at all levels of government, has been dubbed Operation Snowball and is linked to the same bust that led to the arrest of The Who guitarist Pete Townshend in Britain.

it all depends on the cost of the intermediate they are using, and the amount of steps away to create the steroid, and the chemicals and catalyst needed on each step...prices may start out high but once this synth is done on a large scale production and kinks are worked out to maximize yield the overhead will not be as much and the price will drop...keep in mind this illegal synthesis of steroids has been going on in the US for years,,,up intil a month ago a good amount of powders were from china,india, etc..,,just now the US is going to be the main source of AAS SLOWLY picking up the slack for demand....things will be comming in from china but they will be legal intermediates.........
