I'm in the midst of dieting right now. Eating super clean and doing cardio and weights 5 days a week. About 5 minutes ago I went around my house and counted up exactly what I ate all day and how much. It totalled to be 2,810 calories with 298 grams of protein and 226 grams of carbs. What got me is that I still feel hungry most of the day. I only feel satisfied for about 10 minutes right after a meal.

My bodyweight is 190lbs @ 5'8". With that being said my diet hasn't been giving me the results I want. Meaning, I haven't been losing much bodyfat. So, the question I pose, is my caloric intake too much? Should I drop my caloric intake even though I already feel hungry?

what is your bodyfat? depending on it, you should be aiming at abour 2000-2200 cals/day to cut.

2800 is definitely WAY high for 190lbs (unless you are 3% bf).

I'm currently bulking (first week) with 2500 cals (after a year dieting at 2000cals). Next week is up to 3000 and when the weight stalls, up to 3500.

currently 206lbs... coming from 198lbs@17% (most of the gain this week is water, switching to a high carb diet)

Healthy fats will help u sooo much. Try adding Flax oil and flax meal to your diet. This will not get u fat. It really helps keeo your hormones balanced and u will drop b/f.

>>> Bro , what is this ? Seriously you are eating almost 3.000 calories and you weight 190 lbs , do you really expect to lose any fat eating that much ?

Your BMR is probably something around 2.300 cals .

IF you wanna lose fat you better EAT LESS than 2.000 cals .

I say 1.800 would be good for you , that is 500 less than your BMR .

Go for a 45 / 35 / 20 ratio ( pro / carbs/fat )

>>>> His BMR is around 2.300 unless , like you said he is 3 % body fat and pure muscle than his BMR could be much higher than this but it is probably not the case , so , with 2.200 the fat LOSS will be really SLOW unless he is going to the gym 3 x a day and losing 1.500 cals on the gym which is probably NOT THE CASE ALSO.

I would say 1.800-1.900 for him , protein high , carbs moderate , low fat .

CArdio 5 x week and weights 5 x a week , easy as this

And btw bro , feeling hungry is part of the game , I was 240 pounds ( like 20 % ) bodyfat , and was dieting at 2.000 cals , I felt hungry 24/7 , learn how to deal with it . Everybody starves at one point when trying to get cut .

How many calories do you guys recommend if Im trying to lose my belly fat. Its pretty much the only place where I have a little too much. Im 5'8 170. I bulked from 155 and now want to get my abbs looking right. Im not sure if I should be running my ass off trying to lose calories, or if I should be doing the fat burn on the tread mill and just walking. My diet consists of hardly nothing but turkey, chicken, tuna, veggies, and whole grains.(other than my protien shakes).

Oh, wow guys. I never realized how much I was over eating. I just figured that if I was eating all my food super clean and I wasn't stuffing myself then I would lose weight.
2300 cals, damn I guess I will be hungry 24/7 like you. Better get used to it.
My bf % is around 10%. I can see abs but not finely detailed. I came down from 215lbs at a relatively lean state (blurred abs). I don't know if this matters but I'm 5'8" and 20 yrs old.

Being hungry all the time racks my brain because I would feel like I'm starving all my muscle. I'll try to eat 1800 cals but honeslty I don't think I'm going to stay like that. It's close to winter and I'll probably keep my cals close to my BMR (2300) and hopefully I'll lose a little fat then I'll hit it hard (1800cals) closer to summer.

>>> Exactly , you can do that , stay at 2.300 cals for a while , going to the gym ED and you WILL LOSE some fat , VERY slowly but you will . And when you really wanna CUT the FAT FAST , go for 1.800 cals + gym ED , then you are going to burn the fat at a really FAST PACE .
