This will depend on how the original product has been stored and/or the associated ingredients. In some cases, you can store whey protein for up to three years. Have a look on your product for an expiration date. If you can't find that then look for the product lot number. It will be a long series of numbers. Usually (but not always as manufacturers have different identifying codes) the last four digits will represent the month and year the product is good until. If the product has been opened or if you are in any doubt then it is best to throw it out, as hard as that may be to hear.
