Believe it or not, my ex isn't all that much brighter. People who know us both post divorce often ask me, "How ON EARTH did the two of you hook-up? I mean the guy is dumber than a bag of rocks."

I was waaaaaaaaaaay young, and pretty dumb myself a the time I suppose. LOL

It's a funny one that, the seemingly ill-matched couple. One of my good friends is a Brazilian lipid scientist. He speaks nine languages fluently, lectures the FDA and consults for some of the biggest food brands. One of the things I can't understand is why he consistently picks partners of low intellect? The contrast is distinct when they're seen together. He actively seeks 'the happy fool', he's strange like that.

Are dumb girls more fun?

Dumb girls are easier to control.

Dumb or young naive girls are often sought out by partners who either likes to be in control or need someone dumb enough to put up with their behavior.

(And THAT was told to me by a man - it not something I pulled out of my female "arse")

I imagine it goes both ways - I don't think it's a "guy thing" I'm sure women do it too.

Yeah, I’m sure it is tied in with power and manipulation. I think it’s also true, the older we get the less open we are to modifying our habits and views. This fits in somewhat with the stereotypical older successful man with the young model airhead.
