Whats For Lunch Today?

I just started to try and eat better and I'm already not likeing it. I hate chicken as it is, and miss my fried stuff and soda. This is going to suck. At least JH1 has been taking me to a free lunch occasionally so I have some good stuff every now and then. Coolest orb ever.

What I want is some Charlie Gitto's Lasana, with a house salad and bread with butter, evoo and parm cheese.

What I will probably eat is whatever I can find that is healthy for 5$.
 
Chicken and brown rice x 2. Some almonds and an orange for a snack. Repeat 7 goddamn days per week.
 
I can't tolerate that brown rice, love chicken though.
Today I am going to subway since I didn't cook. :whatever: I love their chicken on wheat! yummy

I usually just bake it with some thyme or oregano. There are a lot of decent marinades out there that are low in sodium too. Lawry's and Stubbs are probably my favorites. It's been too damn cold to grill anything.

smoked venison sawseech, cooked on the gas grill and a big bowl of salad (leaf, iceberg, grape tomatoes, craisins, bacon, sunflower seeds, crumbled blue cheese and italian dressing). . .high protien, moderate fat, low carb. . .

I just can't stand the smell of turkey. Tuna is good too. I usually use olive oil instead of mayo. A little fresh garlic, some red onion... good shit.

I weighed 218 when I started, I'm at 208 now. I had a year and a half off, so I mostly put muscle on and lost a ton of fat. My goal is to be around 200 at 10%. I'm 12-14% now.

I started at over 25%. That pic was maybe 4-5 months ago. I've been in great shape my whole life, I just went to shit when I got divorced. I got depressed, was drinking a lot, was working crazy hours to keep my mind off things, and was going out to eat twice a day.

that sounds yummy! I'll have to try that. I was using light mayo...just a little with mustard and ate it plain a couple of times when desperate...dry tuna is nasty!
 
Take 2 cans of Tuna fish and put it in a bowl
Add one or two of those small packs of Mayo (I'm at work)
Liberally douse it with Hot Sauce (ASS KICKIN brand HOT SAUCE specifically)
Stir... eat.. expect your shits to burn tomorrow.

That is good, I've had that numerous times. I HATE broccoli, so uncooked spinich is my fav. green leafy veggie. That or green leaf lettuce or romaine, but I wants to look like popeye, ug gugugugu.

This ASS KICKIN HOT SAUCE that I got for Christmas from family has
Habaneros.

Chipolt sauce would be nice with the smokey flavor I bet. Doesn't Tabasco make a chipolte sauce ? I should pick some up. The regular Tabas is just OK, but not as good on tuna as this ASS KICKIN stuff is.
 
keep with it... in time you won't have the urge to eat anything besides healthy foods beings your cravings will go away. The first few months are the hardest but well worth it.

Trust me... coming from one fat ass to another... hee hee

I'm kidding... well about the fat ass... you not me.

Yeah and I hate tabassco but they do make a chipolte sauce. I just get the pure chopped up peppers in theri own juice and add that to mayo. I have had that ass kickin sauce and it does hurt.

I had some prank hot sauce in college and I kid you not, it was called "Red Rectum" and man, it was PAINFUL with just a drop. I made a ton of money from guys as they thought they could keep 1 small drop on a chip in their mouth for 1 minute without giving into the pain. It was almsot pure habenero paste. lol Idiots.
 
We bought some hot sauce from the pepper store in Tennessee called Mr. Pain......that stuff will put a hole in your tounge. It is impossilbe to eat it. My beau finds it funny to talk anyone new into tasting it. Which is always easy with the men, they always have something they think they have to prove.

Yeah I remember this one mexican guy in CA that I new, he was acting like he ate liquid hot magma for lunch, and one little BB sized drop of that red rectum on the chip, and he was crying. Funny thing is that water won't really help, you need milk to get rid of the burn. I guess the base of milk neutralizes the acid in the sauce or something.

lol I know! When we got back up to our cabin my beau and son was aguring who was gonna try it first.......I thought what a bunch of babies and just got a little on my finger and after a second was running to the sink...it is accumulative..got hotter and hotter and the water didn't help and I had no milk :worried:

Oh no, couldn't stand it......I have just been avoiding rice alltogether. Can't even remember the last time I ate it.

I'll have to try the basmati rice, never heard of it but will try anything at least once.
 
today is spinach salad with grilled chicken and some jalapeno on the side. I haven't been able to hold anything down... so hopefully this goes well :worred:

Remember what I said about low fat ground beef, pork tenderloins, turkey breast sammiches...

Don't get stuck on chicken or you'll loose your will... you can't eat the same thing all day ery day, unless you are a fuggin machine..

I make awesome burgers outta 96% FF ground beef and use FF cheese.. Wheat Bun, Pickles, Onions, Mustard...

May not 'SEEM' healthy, but it's right up there with Chicken and Rice...

I will also make spegetti with whole wheat noodles (actually good) and the low sodium, low fat or light spegetti (sp?) sauce. May not be totally healthy but anything beats fast food right?

My chest tightens just thinking about it, but back in my college days, my favorite meal was friend chicken chunks over white rice and then drench it in chunky kosher salt and I mean DRENCH Man it was good.

Been along time since i had that though.

OK today its a baked chicken breat I bought last night with a seasoning mix ( think it has rosemary, thyme, cracked pepper, garlic and some other stuff ) and white rice. It's actually pretty decent. But I am really missing steak.

No instant rice brown or white...

Next time you hit the store, get Brown Rice... non-instant and make the whole bag or half a bag and store it in the fridge, warm as needed.


White rice is refined, and it's GI is crap.... you want the fiber in Brown Rice...

Made it all last night and will have this today and tomorrow for lunch..

How is that for healthy? Am I getting on the right track?

I brought a homemade burrito w/93% lean ground beef, black beans and wild rice.

So I bought the 98% lean turkey breast, got the cajun spices and covered them and baked for about 30 min @ 350. The were delicious! Then take fresh green beans and steam them in a steamer for about 10 min. In a skillet put about a tbspn of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Once clove of fresh garlic chopped. Simmer the garlic untill that great smell comes out. Then add your green beans and tarragon and mix all up. Server with the brown rice. It was awesome last night and still really good left over today.

I got the thin sliced breast so they are about half a breast. You can get the ones that are about the same size as a chicken breast though if you want. They didn't take the whole 30 min to cook so you may want to use a therm.. to check them as you go or just cut into one.
