What's the diet look like? Examples.....


Breakfast - 4 egg whites and 1 egg w/yolk - topped with a little cheddar cheese.

Protein shake in between if many hours until lunch

Lunch - can of tuna mixed with no carb ranch dressing, with chopped onion, celery and carrots.

Dinner - usually chicken...either grilled... or baked, sprinkled with breadcrumbs, and topped with red sauce and fat free mozzarella cheese..with just a table spoon of olive oil in the bottom of the pan so it doesn't turn black. This evening we had baked fish. With every meal we will have either peas or green beans. Usually a salad also.

This usually keeps me full until after my evening workout..then I have another protein shake.

Do you think this is okay?
 
Diet looks pretty good - although a little light on Fats and Fiber. When you have Veggies - really load up on them! They are great sources of fiber, vitamins and good carbs.

Does your Breakfast last you a long time? I only say that because it doesn't seem like it would be enough calories - if you find you are starving to quickly, add a carb (CoW, Oatmeal, etc). Same with Lunch - might want to add some Fat to Lunch - say, almonds?

Go light on the breadcrumbs at dinner - bread isn't the best carb to have late in the day if you are trying to lose fat.

Some people find it is hard to cut while taking in Dairy (cheese) products. You might want to limit that amount. Plus, the no fat cheese is quite processed. Sometimes it is better to use full-fat products, only less at a time. Fat isn't bad - it is necessary.
 
Breakfast usually holds me until lunch. I usually don't eat breakfast until about 8:30 - 9:00. Then lunch is about 12 - 12:30. If I should get hungry in between, then I'll make a shake or munch on some carrots.
I'll go out and buy almonds today! I love them...just keep forgetting to buy them.
As for the breadcrumbs, I don't put much on...I jsut lightly coat the cutlet in them to give it a bit of flavor. I'll use regular cheese..not the fat free. I usually don't eat cheese that often, only a little bit of mozzarella on the cutlets at dinner, and the cheddar on my eggs in the am.
Breads are totally out of my diet - :bawling: I used to eat bread all the time. It's a part of being italian! So it was very difficult to get it out of my diet!

Okey Dokey, thx for clearing that up.... :) Sometimes I forget people eat breakfast later than me. :) It sucks not eating bread...huh? Sometimes I just want a PB&J sandwich or something. And God help me when I go out to dinner on cheat day - I practically attack the poor bread guy. :)
