What would you guess my bf% to be?

I've been trying to get it in the single digits but have never been tested. Would just like to get an unbiased opinion.

10 and does anyone ever tell you you look like rambo?

Lol, yea I've needed a haircut for a few weeks now. Looks like I'm going to have to start doing cardio... FML

whats your diet and cardio like now?

id wait a few weeks after PCT is over to make any "drastic" changes to your regiment, unless your ADDING some cals. im also paranoid and have OCD though

Diet is super clean trying for around 150g carbs and ~250g protein. I eat every few hours, only complex carbs minus my one simple carb pwo. Only eating carbs right when I wake up, pre workout and post. I've never counted my calories but if I had to guess would say around 3000. I take a multi TID, along with fish and flax oil, baby aspirin, vit. C, creatine, glutamine and casien protein with HMB before bed. I'm drinking at the very least a gallon of water a day. When I say my diet is clean I mean shit is squeaky clean, no sugar, no preservatives, low sodium, organic, only fat is from supps. I haven't had a pop or any fast food for at least 5yrs now. If I ate any garbage at all right now I would be piling and shitting my brains out.

I don't do any cardio other then walking my dog about 6 days a week, lol. I will do more during the summer. I fucking go nuts doing cardio in a gym... ADD or something. My heart rate stays around 130 while lifting though, I hit it hard and rest very little in between sets.

9-10% depending on water retention the day you test

looking great dude!

I wouldnt worry as much about cardio, there is too much research backing that lifting and intervals will do what you need....hard to believe people still on the cardio bandwagon so much, old habits die hard....lifting is more important...

you look single digits, but dunk tank is best way to be sure...because everyone is different how they carry weight and look....Ive been dunk tanked at 7.9% I think it was a few months ago, and dont have abs ripping out of me, so the lady did it four more times to confirm....she said I didnt carry anything anywhere except the midsection, and it wasnt "fatty" but my abs were or are not ripped....so I was shocked as I always heard the below 10% your abs will be ripped stuff...she said its all genetics and individual variances in how we carry weight....

if you live near a major city, or a major university with an exercise science program, you can get dunk tanked for $40-80.....but dude to me you look single digits...I wouldnt be fretty anything, not that it seems you are!

There is also plenty of research on diets that are mainly protein and fats, and if you do mostly meat, fish, fowl, and veggies you do not need to count calories....read Why We Get Fat and What to Do ABout it....amazing book dispels all the "calories in calories out" stuff....and documents tons of research done on folks doing primarily meat and veggies diet, and if your sticking to meat and veggies you can stuff your face and not worry about getting fat...besides anytime I get strict with meat and veggies, you cant or dont want to keep eating, totally curbs your appetite!

how much do you weigh now? looks awsome

similar to what im doing. i was doing 140 carbs on lift days, and 100 carbs on cardio days, and doing 20 min cardio after lift, and an hour and 15 min cardio every 3rd day, at the end of my cycle.

now i am not doing cardio after lift, hitting up IPAMs during my pct, and doing cardio with heart rate around 130-150 depending, for about 40 min, and about 10 min in the middle, and 10 min at the end (making 60 min total cardio), doing intervals, be it on the bike, rower, or sprinting

i always eat the same thing every single day so its easy to track changes because i just either add or remove carbs.

here is how im eating now, and the caloric breakdown for it

i calculated i was eating 443 gram protein, which seems like it may be an over estimate, but i have issues with portion control unless i weigh it out and tend to eat way over that when it comes to meat...i keep fat between 40-50

On cardio Days
40 oatmeal in the morning, 40 precardio, 60 post cardio
=140 carbs, 560 cals from carbs,
Total cals = 2692 cals

On lift Days
40 for 4 meals, and 40 in PW shake
200 carbs, 800 cals from carbs
Total cals = 2932 cals

1 day per weekend ("carb up")
60 for 4 meals, 40 in PW shake
280 carbs, 1120 cals from carbs
Total cals = 3252 cals

i cheated a shitton this weekend though visiting the folks

you look awesome man. no way under 10% imo though. i think the general population guesses way too low in threads like this. i wouldnt stress to go any lower though. 10-12% is badass status.

that blurb about not needing to count cals is absolute bullshit. you can certainly get fat off even just shitloads of meat. ive done it plenty of times.

as for cardio, you sacrifice some muscle size, for more mitochondria in your fibers, which burn more nutrients throughout the day. it probably doesnt make that huge of a difference, but it does have benefits compared to just lifting.

also i think cardio is super important for your heart, and over all performance in the weight room.

Were you eating strictly meat with no carbs? You got fat on a ketogenic diet?? Id be shocked....no serioulsly reseach wise and personal experience and that of others , if you are on a diet that keeps you in ketosis, meat, fish, fowl, cheese, some veggies, you arent gonna get fat....its basically impossible bro....they have done numerous studies on it, numerous....

the steady state cardio stuff is bullshit too....folks need to do more research and get their heads out of the sand...intervals and lifting, steady state is okay for active recovery, but otherwise not going to give you fat burning or other improvements like interval training...folks are so stuck in the folklore and urban myth bodybuilding BS that has been around for decades....steady state cardio and counting calories is for the birds and totally suboptimal....

Other folks talking smack about the guy not being single digits, are you guys doing calipers, or have you been dunk tanked? he could very easily be single digits.....if the numbers really matter he should go get dunk tanked....most folks are probably not that accurate with calipers, especially commercial gym jack asses....dunk tank or BodPod would be better...then if the number really mattered he would have it for sure....regardless he looks damn good being lean like that (not that Im gay hah)

This is an interesting concept and I would like to read a bt more a out it. I do find it hard to believe you can eat an unlimited amount of meats/veggies without turning into a fatass. Post a link up bro

Yea that sounds very similar to what my diet is. I as well have portion control issues. I even bought a fancy new glass scale but fuk it's hard to get in the habit of weighing everything out. What are you weighing in at now? I used to keep my proteins around 300 until I tested my urine and I was spilling proteins. See if you can get some urine sticks, you could save yourself some money and time.

I'm not changing anything for next couple of months. I will just be incorporating a bit more cardio as the weather gets nicer :)

I think I could stand to go a bit lower. I don't plan on entering the competitive field or anything so I'm not trying to dehydrate and complete carb reatrict. I'm thinking a little more cardio in the mix should do the trick. Will be running deca/test/dbol in a few months though so hopefully I don't blow up like a balloon.

Can you come be my trainer for at least diet purposes?! No pop or fast food for 5 years? Awesome. I need that. Looking great

Thanks RG, once you go a certain amount of time without that crap, your body will have no choice but to reject it. Eat to live don't live to eat right

ur in the 10s,

dont listen to the 8% guesses, they are wrong, i dont mean to be rude

i think they are thinking 8s because u have very dry look about ur physique i the arms n shoulder region which can be missleding

ur legs still carry to much fat for u to be less then 10%, ur chest still holds little water from the fat and ur lower abdominal isnt seperated enough nor is ur upper abdominal to give you single digit bf%

however dont let a measurment of bf$ bother you, you look great and thats more important IMO then some guy ona forum telling you wat ur bf% really is

well done

Appreciate the feedback breh. I know judging by a picture isn't very accurate but neither is the 35% reading from my broke ass bathroom scale

10%. , you look awesome and thats whats important.

Thank you kindly sir. Hey did you ever get my PM? I'm using this new iPhone EF app and when I hit send it crashed and when I went back on it wasn't in my out box. Just wanted to make sure you got it?

I'm actually 5.5% right now, but Tren seems to do me like that for some reason. I'd say judging from your lower abs, which are alot like mine before this cycle that you are nomore than 10 and more like prolly 9%. Just my 2 thou borseph.

can i just get urine sticks from the pharmacy? it wouldnt surprise me if im spilling protein lol... i could smell it before i lowered my portions within the past year but the odor went away so maybe not as much.

i was 200-205 at the end of my cycle, and havnt weighed myself since :P il weigh myself today and if its below 190 im going to do a summer bulk :(

Well if you google ketogenic diets you will get a plethora of info...thats essentially eating as much meat and veggies you want....these diets have been used by doctors since the late 1800s to reduce obesity in patients, and it works....there are numerous studies on it....there are a lot of complicated books to read full of medical terminology, but a very simple read on the subject, which includes tons of references of these studies from 100 years ago until present, is Why We Get Fat
Amazon.com: Why We Get Fat: And What to Do About It (9780307272706): Gary Taubes: Books

Very simple read. Not that its for athletics or bodybuilding, but please if anyone is a reader I urge you to get this since its so quick an easy read....and goes through studies comparing the whole calories in calories out thing, the stupid food pyramid stuff, and why so many doctors dont know jack shit about nutrition....all of us our different, so some of us can tolerate more carbs and stay lean as heck, but if you are crushing green veggies in addition to nothing but meat, fish, and fowl, especially considering everyone on here I am assuming trains their nuts off, takes protein shakes, and lots of BCAAs, you are not going to get fat....if you do add carbs in to all those meat and veggies, then you will spike insulin and change the entire hormonal cascade of things and get fat potentially.....but its a pain at first preparing food, and I gotta be honest I do not stick to it strictly, but I was stuck at 245lbs for nearly 8 months, doing double training sessions a day, intervals and athletic circuits in the morning and a heavier lift at night, with a long walk later at night, and stayed consistent 245lbs....I did strict meat and veggies for two weeks, dropped 12 pounds instantly, kept 2 training sessions a day, nailed an easy 375 bench, 225 for 20 reps, and deadlifted 500 for 20 reps via 2 reps everytime the clock hit a minute, so 10 minute total. For various injury reasons Im not one rep maxing, Ill tear something, my force production is higher than this old body can take...point being, I did the strict version, dropped weight, and stayed strong, as well for giggles got dunk tannked at 7.9%.

As for interval training, there also is tons of research on that...just google it....or google it along with Alwyn Cosgrove he always cites lots of research and keeps up on fat loss research, maybe Mike Boyle too....there is so much info out there and research explaining why and how intervals are a much better option than steady state cardio....

I did Dan Duchaines BodyOpus in college, and got shredded...however I will advise against it for an athlete, as I do not know if it was overtraining, or just being on keto and doing football workouts, but I tore a bunch of muscles while on that diet....so although I believe in keto, for power athletes playing sports still, Im thinking carbs are needed, at least morning and post workout...I think some folks do modify the low carb diet to include morning and post workout carbs with good benefits still
