I was there for 2+ hours again, met with what would be my boss again ... he spent about 45 minutes showing me the 'fitness center' not sure if he thought I would actually work out there and that would help sell me on the job. Then I spent some time with each of the three sales managers. Each was the same, "you're overqualified but you obviously have things you can bring to the team and Mark is excited about you so I'll give you my vote".

Apparently there were 2 internal candidates he needed to interview out of courtesy, though he flat out told me he didn't want anybody internal and the other external resumes are garbage... I feel confident that they're going to make an offer, but I didn't hear anything yesterday.

I usually eat all the celery sticks in the beginning
I'm not a pig because nobody wants those
cheese sticks and meatballs in sauce command the most attention
so I prep my GI tract with all the celery to carry the crap later out pronto
 
I could wear a cheap worn suit on an interview
splice a comment into my presentation about my cheap suit
and be hired the following day
 
wear some decent business attire
and go in there with the attitude
what will this job do for me?
doesn't matter so much what you wear
men mentally undress you no how
if you need that angle
 
you're over qualified means they're about to lowball you

Not yet. 4 interviews this past week and another scheduled for Tues.

I thought I had that first interview in the bag. Turns out there was a surprise internal candidate they may move from Oregon whose husband is in the service and overseas and she wants to move here to be with friends/family or something AND she happens to already do what this position does but does it for the boss of the guy that would be my boss.

He called and told me today. He wants me but they have to do some adjustments to the job description and make it a higher level position and then repost internally again (for which I'm still qualified). He said he wouldn't want anybody that may end up applying should they make the changes problem is it just draws it out.

So it comes down to if they move her here or not. It's up in the air. It's kind of a cluster.

Had a good interview easier thus week but they told me they had two others to interview yet.

I've been looking for a job like it is one I'll tell ya that.

No. I sub for three Gold's. Some weeks I teach 2 classes some weeks I teach 8. Regardless - at $30 apiece it's not much considering I live in downtown Bellevue, pay too much for my car, etc.

I'm pretty frustrated tonight. Super down. :( hope something pans out soon.

Alone in a new city with no job is not great :(

On a positive note - Heard back from the first place I interviewed, sounds like the internal candidate is NOT going to work but the decision maker isn't in until tomorrow, he emailed me this and it seems as if he'd like to make me an offer.

AND

I have a super opportunity I'm interviewing for this week - two separate phone interviews with the same company tomorrow and then an in-office interview in the DT Seattle headquarters Thurs - and this job could be pretty damn cool; domestic & international travel. Offices in Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, London, LA, Mexico City, New York, Dallas... happy thoughts for me please.

I also had an interview this morning, didn't get warm fuzzies from them and it's not an industry I'm interested in, especially after learning more about it.

I've started collating all of the positions I've applied for in the last 5 weeks and it exceeds 60, that's a lot of applications.

hahaha nah im in california it just turned 2AM...been doing a bunch of hw, 5 of my 6 classes are online. And i dont understand what getting the wifey and kid off public assistance will do, am i going to create a movement or something? lol

It may seem cliche but you have infinite opportunities when you sever your ties to what you conceived what you were "supposed" to do...

The best thing that ever happened to me was being told "we can't have a felon on the Microsoft backbone." I stopped being an employee and became a businessman...become a businesswoman...
