What would you do if you had nothing?

If suddenly you woke up, you do not own a house, a condo or a flat, you do not own a car, your bank account is empty.

you don´t have any degree. Your parents are dead, you are single, you do not have a job.

Would you kill yourself?

Would you try and climb out of it? How?

Would you accept this fate and become a bum, spending begging money on low end hard liquor?

Do you have any friends that would adopt you until you get yourself together (even without guarantee that you succeed at this)?

Do you have friends that you would do this for?

You don't know what is or what is not going on in someone's life unless you are speaking of your own life.

I don't want to see another post from you or anyone else on this board that relates to Bikinimom or her life. If she posts a thread and you or anyone else wants to respond so be it - do not take it upon yourself to discuss what your observation might be of it on an unrelated thread.

Thanks.

Boils down to basic survival. It'd be a major bummer but not something to top yourself over. Most people are resourceful and would pick themselves up and start over.

When you're down friends show their true colours. Those who were plastic will ignore you or stick the boot in. Those who are genuine will rally to your aid.

I think this is an important and interesting question to ponder. Same with what if you wake up with a billion dollars.

..things don't define you

With the right woman, I would not care

I went to Cali at 17 with a one way plane ticket, a napsack and just a few dollars over $200 and survived - got job, housing - on my own no help and really no plan (I wouldn't recommend it)

If you're determinded enough you can make something out of nothing.

If I had no shelter, no car and no money - I'd look for a job in a restaurant where I might be able to get shelter (that is quite popular out by me) or alternately I'd get a job in house as a live in housekeeper or nanny.

I know people that have lived in their cars when they had nothing else and either showered at the marina or when they could paid a monthly gym membership.

I am always taken back by some of stories where a seemingly desparate situation can turn into a successful one.

Human Condition - we're stronger than we can possibly comprehend.

If you have an education you'll never have nothing.

well, i guess if you had nothing and were desperate crime would be likely. i'd find an old building to take residence in, and perhaps begin stealing... however once i had enough for an apartment, clothes, and food, i'd look for work...

and maybe find a way to repay my debt, but truthfully that would be doubtful.

if youve lost even your old identity and your diploma

I guess you still know the things you learnt. But thats not the same as having it black on white

this is a blessing in disguise, having experienced this you will learn more about yourself than you ever thought possible

well, ya... i mean, you already learnt it... every time i've learnt something i've remembered it.. i even learnt once that learnt aint a fuckin word.

Dig my way out anyway possible.... It would be very tough - lots of long nights and days, but get into a home or a friends home - get a job, even if it pays next to nothing its a start. Work my way up from ground zero.... If it takes 3 -4 years to get established again so be it. At least you have only lost 3 - 4 years. In if your a 20 - 40 yr old person, you still have another 40+ years to go in life so what is 3-4 or even 10 years if it takes that long.

I would make my way to the top again. I mean, it's not impossible at all. My dad came to Canada in 1967 with $100, no HS, no friends and no family and 40 years later he's loaded.

I´ve done things like gone 2 months on 50 bucks before. But then I still had my room. Was more of an experiment out of free will than a situation.

I´ve also once hitchhiked my way 500 miles into germany with no luggage, in summer, wearing only one pair of pants, going commando, my polo shirt, no luggage, not even my wallet.

I went to see friends though. I´ve never been close to real rock bottom, not even intentionally, fakely.

Your post is full of spelling errors, and English is not your third language, like it is mine.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. :worried:

im on the verge of suicide just because im single.

Well....I woke up and played with my .40 caliber for a while. Cycled the rounds several times and considered all of my contracts etc. So I put it away.

Having nothing is prolly less stressful than debt and injuries.

Sometimes I think this would be easier in some respects. At least then I'd know where I stood and would probably know better on how to extract true potential. Now the way things are is basically maintaining what I have, like I'm on a plateau and at a loss for which mountain to climb or how to get there in the first place.

You feel more like climbing a mountain when you're in the hellish valleys below than on a comfortable-enough plateau.

I would wallow in self pity and give up. I would just start over, no big deal. I would help any of my close friends out as much as I'm able as long as they were trying.

I've heard the question before except it also includes "what if you watched your whole family die in the process of losing everything". My answer to that is usually the same. Fear the man who knows science, hates the world, and has nothing left to lose.

If I had nothing left to lose.... I would be free to do whatever I want.

That was reality for me ............ I remember a friend of mine and I just started hustling while looking for jobs.....i remember him stealing food because we were hungry with nothing

I'd find a funeral home and tell them I can embalm
really good
most funeral home's have living quarters and I'd work and stay there
