Ranger you are telling me you had a zl1 big block camaro?? Damn man that had to be one helluva car I had a article on that one back in a old issue of hotrod the thing was running 12's with old shit tires. You were saying you also have a hemi cuda damn man you have a couple bad ass cars there. Shit I need to get me a classic car the newer firebird is fun and all but I need some classic thunder.

The 69Z had a 396 in it, but, I've always been a big Mopar fan....The Hemi-Cuda was bought off a friend who has a 69 1/2 6-Pac Dodge super-Bee......11,400 actual miles, showroom condition....It's one of those cars you have to see to fully appreciate....

I pick up most of my parts at Carilse Pa. at the car shows....Great place to shop and restore!!!

Now, if I could get my hands on a 302 Chevy engine, I'd be set...<wink>

Your first car is alwayas your favorite. I had an 86 Trans Am in excellant condition, wasnt the fastest but it looked great. Other than that I owned an 89 TransAm GTA and an 85 Fireturd. Got rid of them to drive around in my ford tempo-a babe magnet. Now I drive a Mazda Mx-6 and hopefully next year the New RX-8.

The 302 Chevrolet motor was a fluke!!!!!

well... errrr.. not really. It was installed only in the 1969 Camaro. See.... at that time Chevrolet, who was very intrested in the SCCA Trans AM racing wanted to run a car...but the 327 was too big.. and the 283 was too small. So with merged parts they got a motor that was hihg revving.. and made all of its power way up in the RPM curve. This motor was discontinued after 1969. In it's time... it was only installed in the Z28 Camaro... building one of these motors is easy. Finding the 283 parts is not.

Cool.

I remember my brother had a 69 z when he came back from Nam..
He ended up totally it racing in Indiana. That was a great car, green with white racing stripes.:)

I've only owned a few cars, including two new ones. Mine is a 99 mustang soft top, my wife has an '02 civic. The civic is really reliable, and I probably like it better than my car.

Mmmmm. Probably 1988 Mercedes 190E, very reliable and had a unsurpassed quality of ride.

I had a nice early 70's Mustang that I extensively modified, that was nice but very very expensive on petrol..... I remember I drove it from East London to Oxford once and I used about £30 worth of pertol!!!! I was gunning it all the way there though.

Worst car. New Rover 214Si.... C R A P. Worst car I've ever owned.
