What was your favorite car that you have owned?

I ask, because I saw an old MG Midget like I had in college.

That has to be my favorite one. It was a 1977 midget, with a roll bar in the back. Red with black interior. I looked funny squeezing into it, but I still miss it.

That car use to break down on me, all the time. I still had a blast with it even though I had to push it so many times I lost count. Maybe I liked it because it was so light and easy to push?

What was everyone else's favorite?

I'm with you. I learned to drive in an MGB and I've still got two parked in front of my house. I've also owned Triumphs and a 67 XKE, which probably was my fave car, though my sentimental attachment remains with the Bs.

Your Midget would have had a rubber bumper and an emissions control system, yes? I only drive pre-75 ones because the metal bumpers look better and the cars were never designed for all that emissions crap.

I know the flames will be thrown..

but what the hell

I had an '85 Dodge Omni GLH Turbo.

Ever drove a shoe box that went at least 120mph? That damn thing FLEW!

It was small, cheap and fast. Not a babe magnet, but that's not what I bought it for.

I am currently looking for the Omni GLHS - the Shelby version.
Maybe not a collectors item, but it sure was fun to own.

Yeah, that's the only thing I hated about it, those damn bumpers.:(

I want to find a pre 75 one, just to play with, and rebuild in my spare time.

True the prices have skyrocketed in the last few years but it's mainly because of the idiot emissions standards that were extended to all cars after '75 (not sure if that's the actual year). This has made a post 75 MG very expensive to get equipped to pass emissions standards while making the pre-75 models more in demand than ever.

Since I don't have a pic, this is what mine looked like before i sold it (a bit more shittier, though)

and this was my ultimate goal, to clone.
