The Almighty said:Ok, so we know the facility at Groom lake was originally developed for the perfection of the U2 spy plane.
These days, its illegal to take a picture of it, illegal to fly within 100 miles of it, and they have extended the perimeter so that it is not even visible on the ground even with sophisticated equipment.
Sorry, I just caught a History Channel show on it, and was just wondering your views.

all i can say is that kronk and i spent a lot of time at area 51 before the air force grabbed "freedon ridge"...we camped out there and had lots of fun when we were living in las vegas...
its weird cause you are about 100 miles from civilization and out in the middle of nowhere with "cammo dudes" is white jeeps cherokees are chasing you all over...we were interviewd by cnn once and were in the paper a few times...its was fun...
we had one of our jacked 4 runners with 45 tires and a 15 inch lift and we used to run people up and down the mountain to see the base and such...
i have tons of pictures and all kinds of informaiton on this place if you want it...
i would say that coolest thing that ever happened was being pinned down by an air force helecopter or "buzzed" if you will...they hover right over you on the sand and you have to stay down with your face in the ground cause the sand and rocks are flying everywhere....woo hoo...what a fun time in my life!!!
