What the ???? Flat tire.....

Nine years of driving and I've only blown a tire once. Unfortunetly, I no longer live in the same state as mechanically-minded mommy and daddy, so I'm hoping five years of college has endowed me with the knowledge and knowhow to be able to successfully change a flat tire. But I doubt it. Damn, I hope Triple A does flat tires, lol.

I had anxiety attacks at needing to change a flat. Eventually I needed to drive the car.
It was all pretty obvious once I got started. Make sure you find somewhere solid for the jack to press against for lift. One tip I was given was to loosen the nuts before lifting the wheel off the ground and similarly to do a last round of tightening once it's back onto the ground.

Not really, the patio door is the sliding kind and is really easy to break into(note: to everyone who has one of these, always use the bar that keeps it from sliding so that someone would have to break the window to get in)and will be about $7 to replace and an extra key will be about another $5. I would guess a new window would be around $150. Oh yeah and probably $6 worth of gas.foreigngirl said:
