What small things do you find joy in?

What small things in your life (insert penile joke here) put a smile on your face and give you a sense of contentment? I was just thinking about this for some reason and was curious what others thought about it. By the way, it's 6am here in Arkansas and I'm carb depleting before my show, so I'm pretty amazed that I can form a sentence at this point (albeit a run-on).
 
Gardening. It is so therapuetic to tend to something and see it flourish.

Yes, you step back and look at something beautiful and natural that you helped create. It's wonderful.
 
Spending time with someone you really care about. You don't even really need to say anything sometimes. Just being with that person makes the world stand still if only for alittle while.

I totally agree, that is the best thing in life.
 
I found something else I find joy in, 32oz's of coffee with a 200mg tab of caffeine and 25mg's of ephedrine. That's what I'm talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
putting together puzzles with my 4 year old daughter. She's gotten quite good at them. 100 peice puzzles at 4 is pretty good. It takes her about 45 min to an hour, with dad helping it takes about 45 min to an hour. I suck at puzzles lol!

I got a really dumb one ... seeing hummingbirds, seriously. I get this massively absurd charge out of seeing a hummingbird go zipping by or seeing one feeding ...

... also when one of my cats does something REALLY stupid or really cute ...

A really good night's sleep that included a great sex dream will leave me in a good mood for a solid day ;)

I like it! Animals are always good for that. Sex dreams aren't too shabby either!

My son. . .he's 8 months old but he's got thighs like hams. . .chip off the old block (I hope). . .my legs were large before I destroyed my knees.
 
watching lightning storms in the AZ desert in the middle of the night. Havn't seen lightning in 15 years, forgot how cool it was!

I absolutely love storms, especially when it starts getting dark out and it gets cool. It's kind of an eerie feeling but I love it.

Exactly! I love it when the lightning is shrouded in the clouds and it lights up everything. Cool as the fireworks on the 4th!

Ahh, nothing better!! I remember my first daughter the first night in the hospital. she slept in my arms for 3 hours......priceless!

i would have woken her up after 2 and a half, given her to mommy, so i could go get a meal in

That is awesome! There hasn't been a good storm here in a while. I love those days though!
 
Being able to talk to someone about ANYTHING and they will not judge you for what you say and how you may view things or what you may be going through in your life. When you can put COMPLETE trust in someone. This is very rare but it can be done.

I totally agree. Even though he steals the blankets and takes the pillows, having him there means the world.
 
The high you get after a great workout.
The smell of: coffee, fresh cut grass, and my moms cooking.
Sunshine
Rainbows
The leafs turning colours in the fall.
Sleeping in on the weekend.
Seeing babies make cute faces.
