What PuMpS you up! (Workout music)

Actually, there is nothing wrong with any of these bands. . .they are all classics. To tell you the truth I really don't care what type of music is playing when I am training. Music does not affect my training.

music effects my workout in a big way......especially if I am not thrilled about being there that particular day to begin with......I just can't get pumped up for a workout listening to some crap radio station.....mp3 players and headphones are a godsend......

I can totally not want to be there, but once I get started and the music is blasting through my heaphones, I forget all about that and get down to business!

Music is important to me too......If it is one of those days where I just can't lose my mind and go nuts, I need a little boost from the music, and the standard top 40 crap won't cut it.....I like Wu Tang, Metallica, Dre, Pac, Ramstein, Linkin Park to name a few......there is also music I love like Zeppelin, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, and FLoyd, but I can't fucking lift to it though, in the car or puffing on a J it is good, but I can't fucking get crazy to darkside of the moon.....

Gonna make a new cd tonight for next week's training...

...I'm not looking to be angry, just ...hmm... focused. :D
Although my stupid gym plays classic rock stations in the weight room. Much as I love Elton John, he's not too physically motivating.

I listen to digital hardcore, tiesto and oakenfold tracks, as well as vocals in the gym

Download all these, theyre all good:

Pete Rock, Raekwon, Prodigy - The Game
Royce Da 5'9 - Rock City
GZA - 4th Chamber
Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Kanye West - Guerilla Monsoon Rap
Canibus - Beast from the East
Mobb Deep - Quiet Storm
Mobb Deep - Survival of the Fittest
M.O.P. - Ante Up
Royce Da 5'9 - Boom
Nas, Jadakiss, Big Pun - John Blaze
Tupac - Hit Em Up
Wu Tang Clan - Protect Ya Neck
Wu Tang Clan - Triumph

My gym plays the usual shiz...can you imagine listening to Christina Aguilera while working out? Well I don't have to imagine it. Sometimes it's good, but usually not.

If I had my way, it would be hard, aggressive, grooving music that falls just short of mindless noise. Some shit like Pantera, Faith No More, Primus, etc...

To be more specific, Quiet Riot - Bang Your Head, would rock in the gym.

i like listening to some Mudvayne right before i go to the gym. gets me pretty pumped.
