The law in it's original form is still around in Wisconsin as of this summer as far as I know.

In New Hampshire they don't check ID's at the traffic school. They just have you sign in. When I went the guy said "make sure to write the name of the person who is supposed to be here".
My old roommate paid some highschooler $40 to go for him. It was an hour course.
