What kind of motor oil do you put in your car?

Motor oil? What does that do?

lubricates, cleans and cools the engine dodohead!

You mean you're supposed to change it once in a while? :worried:

(makes note not to buy dodoheads car).

Relax freak. I drive a Toyota. ;)

I just changed my oil, plugs and wires and filter last weekend, for the record. Brake pads, rotors, brake fluid and fuel filters are next.

10w-50w is a mixure of oil weighing 10W to 50W same with all others.

My vette requires Mobil 10-50W synthetic and each change requires 8 quarts of oil.

What's the difference between 10W-40, 10W-50 and so on. I drive a Jeep Cherokee. What kind should I be putting up in that piece?

Use whatever your owner's manual says to use.

What's more important is changing your oil on a regular basis.

Define "regular". I hope you don't mean every 3000 miles, because that's a waste, a scam on the public foisted by Jiffy Lube. If the owner's manual says to change it every 5000-7500 miles, then that's regular enough.
