What is your 1 rep max on bench press?

I prob count as a roid freak, so i won't post mine. I don't think that's fair though.

Also, if your going to post your bench - no rubber shirt wearing BS and back FLAT on the bench.

You must have short arms that give you an unfair advantage. Either that, or I call bullshit.

I have very long arms.
when I try to stand up straight my knuckles drag on the floor.

300 for a 3 set was the most i ever got, so im assumeing thats close to 330???
b/w is 210-215

I maxed out at about 600lbs. It was a rough day though. My tendonitis was kicking in, my middle finger on my left hand was broke, i had a collapsed lung, and my left shoulder was dislocated. I would have hit more i think, if i didnt have a few bumps and brusies.

I can never figure out why peple do this in the first place.A buddy was doing 170kgx3 today on the bench and his back was arched like a mother fucker. He does this the whole time and so do a lot of others, why they don't just do decline bench instead is beyond me coz that is exactly what they are doing already.

Erm I juice btw so I'm not qualified to say what I lift either, just felt like ranting a bit.:)

you limit the travel of the bar by trying to extend you chest as high as possible. when you arch your back its to roll your shoulders to get them flat i think. i cant do it, it doesnt feel normal. but i have been trying another method that may help. you put your legs straight out in front of you and push off the ground with your feet, this also causes your shoulders to roll with no arch. i think its been helping me.

p.s. im really going to bed now JJ.

This should help define why you might see that. It's off the PL board.

I know what your mean but I'm talking about where he has his backside about a foot above the bench.......extreme arching which turns the exercise more into a decline bench press.I've seen a lot of people do this.Surprised none of them don't get hurt more often.

Cause he is cheating. People can generally lift more in a decline, so he is putting himself in that position. It also makes the bar travel less of a distance. There is actually a little less stress on the shoulder joint in this position, if i am not mistaken. But yes, i would think you would pull some muscles somewhere in that bent shpe, but who knows.

In all seriousness, i benched 365 3 times max. I weigh 235lb.

Last time I tested, I benched 232 at about 190lbs.

BTW...if you bench like a powerlifter, you will arch your back some, but your ass needs to stay on the bench.

on the topic of benching...a good way to get your bench up drastically is start doing weighted dips.

I'm a little tall and was never a good bencher, 245x10 or 320 for 1. I prefer slow reps, helps keep my shoulders from bitchin, but I really prefer dumbells over BB.

In competition, arching is allowed as long as the shoulders and lower back are in contact with the bench, that´s how I bench. But what I don´t understand is people benching with their butt one fot above the bench.

That is exactly how I bench because if I use the dead fish technique, it kills my shoulders and sometimes my back. Pull your shoulder blades in, arch the back a bit and keep the rest of your body on the bench.

What is a bench press?

Next time post stupid shit like this on the Training board. What you think this is...a bb forum or something?

A little more than a year ago I fucked up my right elbow and shoulder pressing 375. I had also pressed 315 for 8 that same day. I don't max any more.

I did 270lbs for 2 reps at 170lbs bodyweight.

I think my bench is one of my weaker lifts.

I can squat and deadlift over 400lbs. Not sure about singles in these lifts.

do you want the weight i lifted w/ wife on my face or not on my face, different weight due to problems in breathing my 40 year old wifes snatch , full of carp!!!!!!!!!!!
