What is the stupidest gym advice you have ever heard?

Bro, you need to hang with us on the training board. This is correct.

Yeah...low reps build mass, but, not without doing a couple of warm up sets first and maintaining perfect form. I know I wasted countless hours in the gym lifting super heavy and doing only 4-6 reps per set. Sorry...all that does is give you one of those " weird" looking gym bodies that every other guy has..no symmetry, no cuts ,no veins. So just " lifting heavy" leads to nothing but blocky, undefined mass and increases the risk of injuries...there, now let the flames begin.

If this is the worst advice you guys have gotten, you must not have been to many gyms. Either that or everyone there is a genius. Or, everyone at the gyms I've been to are idiots (except me of course). :jamesbond:

You get cut with diet and cardio.... not dependant on rep range.

Okay, how about this one which I got back in the early 80's.

"If you really want to grow put a few drops of orchic under your tongue"..Damn stuff was liquid BULL BALLS, i found myself charging onto fields and raping cows as they grazed...Didnt gain any weight though.

Check out needsize's 5x5 routine on the training board.

The Janitor once told me

Don't ever smell the crotch of womans underwear, leotard, or bicycle pants. especially when you see an unattended Gymbag in the womens locker room :mix:

Dude, sorry to say, but that's totally wrong. Doing more reps will not get you cut or give you bigger veins.

Also, going heavy does not increase the risk of injuries if you're practacing proper form and have a spotter.

lol@ cross cables are for "cuts". I F*CKING hate it when I see these FUCKS in the gym talking about "Upper chest" and "working the inner thigh".

Or "to get the tear drop, you have to do XYZ..." lol
