What is the strangest thing you eat?

Alrighty, this is a totally BS post but I think it will yield some interesting responses.....

What meal do you concoct in the eternal quest for high protein and quality carbs that gets the most raised eyebrows, gags or otherwise unappetizing responses? I was reading that Phem makes something with oatmeal, egg whites and tuna and I just about lost my lunch (no offense :D) I get a lot of looks when I tell people I'm eating tuna mixed with fat-free cottage cheese, diced black olives, some onion, sunflower seeds, and garbanzo beans....hey, they asked, right?Seems totally normal to me, and probably to the rest of you too, but those "other people" think it's weird---you know, the ones who have doritos and coke for lunch.

So, what do you mix up?

hey... my meal 1s are good!!! (i don't have official names for my meals any more, they're 1, 2, 3 and so on... )

that tuna thing sounds disgusting now!!! but i'm completely off tuna...(read tvs oatmeal, chicken, tuna whatever it was thread)

right now, my diet doesn't have too much weird food... but what i'm bad for is making everything i'll eat in a meal (say 2 chicken breasts, 1 cup romain, 1 cut spinach, 1/4 red pepper, 5 spears of asparagus or small sweet potato (everytime i type that i type sweat potato, then i have to go back and fix.... one day i'm not going to notice... anyways)... i cook everything that needs to be cooked/heated and put it all in one big bowl)... at work they call it feeding time... (i do this 2-3 times a day at work...)

#1 tuna and diet coke mixed in a blender, you'd be surprised it actually tastes like a float.

#2 Tuna in a pita with a spread of peanut butter, yummy

Wiggum

Dingo12 and Chiefwiggum have everyone beat on this so far !!! UGH!!!! Of course I would of ate the brussel sprouts heated :)

Before my show I got a tad desperate for something with TASTE, and I wasnt starting to watch my salt yet, so.....
dill pickles, mushrooms and olives with cold brown rice.

I know, but at least it wasnt oatmeal and egg whites.

Oohh,,wait.. i was doing Body Opus once and I had cottage cheese, cocoa powder and Equal in a blender. It looked like runny poop, but sure was good!! LOL:p

will ya'll stop knocking my egg white oatmeal already???!!! jeeesh... put some maple syrup in it, (and don't use a lot of oats) and its pretty damn good :)

Hey, Im not knockin em. I eat em all the time, and did 3x a day for 8 weeks before my show. Its the shit to get rid of bodyfat. But my pre-contest diet was so limited, it took me awhile to get back to eating them again
:fro:

Heehee. love that fro

my supertuna salad is probably pretty gross to most people: looks terrible but tastes pretty good:

1 can tuna
1 tsp olive or flax oil
2 tbsp low fat cottage cheese
1 tsp good quality balsamic vinigar
ground black pepper

I used to have 6 egg white with ketsup & caynne for breakfast AND egg whites/tuna/ffcheddarchz/pineapple chunks for dinner (I ate eggs so much I developed an allergy to them.):(

Now I like to have tuna w/ diced canned (drained) carrots for lunch, that gets looks although it isn't too strange.

My FAVORITE is my mid-day snack

yogurt with scoop of protein and flax seeds

It's like a pudding!

not anymore..but i am dutch and i used to eat chocolate sprinkle sandwiches. i also used to eat brown sugar and maple spread on toast. ouch!!!

"chocolate sprinkle sandwiches"??? You mean like jimmies, the things they put on ice cream cones? That sounds awesome. I would SO eat that at a different time/place in my life!

Phem--my theory is this: if it's a bunch of stuff mixed with greens or vegetable matter, call it "salad"

If it's a bunch of stuff mixed with rice, pasta or other starch, call it "casserole"

then mines = chicken salad casserole? (its got the works.. sweet potato (sometimes pasta, or rice, usually sp), veggies, lettuce, and chicken... (or steak)

i just say ssssoooeeyyy and chow down :)

oh yeah baby! with butter too

I kind of forgot about tuna and mustard, like sassy69 mentioned. Might make my tuna more bearable :p

weirdest thing I guess is my pancakes: 2 oz. cottage cheese, 2 egg whites, 1 sc protein (sometimes choc flavored protein :p)....people say it sounds weird, but after trying them, they usually love 'em

or salad dressing w/ Udo's, spicy mustard & lemon juice... another :p

Thought I would get this one going again.

Tonight I had a combo of sirloin and filet mignoin steak with:

Baby Gem Lettuce

Radishes

Sprouted lentils and radishes

Sunflower and pumpkin seeds

3 artichoke hearts

Grated carrot and daikon/mooli/wit wortel with a dressing of apple cider vineagar and mixed herbs.......touch of omega oil

I cook my eggs into my oatmeal and add a bit of splenda. I also mix cold cottage cheese directly into my oatmeal w/a bit of splenda. I also take cottage cheese and mix with yogurt, peanut butter and raw oatmeal. YUM

The most disgusting concoction that I ever made was a tunafish omelette. I have been know to eat caulk for goodness saeks but I had to choke that badboy down. TALK ABOUT.... "WTF WAS I THINKING?" :worried:

Was that cawk?? LOL Sorry I kid I kid

Cottage cheese, tuna and almonds. Great just before bed.

Also, I like cottage cheese, peanut butter and chocolate protein powder (mixed in a blender w/ ice and splenda)

I LOVE cottage cheese, but trying not to start eating dairy.

I miss it too much when it is gone.

Tonight I did have something with tomatoes in it for the first time in about three months.

Butternut squash curry............

YUM

I can't be doing anything with tinned tuna. I can eat tuna steaks though.

Luckily I have a fish monger close by, and one of the men that works there is quite cute as well. :)

Even off season you don't eat dairy? I love my cottage cheese and low carb yogurts.

This season, no dairy. I think I might indulge in a bit of cottage cheese.

It took me six months to get off of caffe lattes last year......

Strangest thing?? Hmmmmmmm........in prepping for this year's comps I ate cold, cooked tilapia with mustard - specifically jalapeno mustard....MMMMMMMMM LOL

cottage cheese / oatmeal combo makes people look at me wierd but its sooo yummy with some butter buds sprinkled on top.

What else..........thats all I can think of right now.

OK, is it me or does MOST of this stuff NOT sound wierd? :worried:

No, we haven't had a winner yet for serious weird food combos.

Although all the tinned tuna stuff sounds MANK to me, I can't eat it.........

How about walnuts dipped in dijon mustard?

:)
