What is The Best Protection For a Women Besides A Gun?

I have hired a woman to manage a warehouse complex. It is not in the best area of town and I am concerned for her safety when customers come in. (she is the only one in the office)

I would like her to get a sawed off shotgun(best short range protection there is) but she doens't like guns because her fiance was shot. So besides mace(I don't think it is that great) what would ya'll suggest? Can you buy a tazer reasonably(you know the thing the cops shoot at ya with two hot wires) or do ya'll suggest something else?

Switchblade. Something about it just scares the hell outta people.

You flick it and grin and they won't fuck with you.
 
Do not show fear. Bad people can smell it a mile away. Look them right in the eye.

Dang dude, I want her working not running around the office kicking and punchin are making grunts and shouts making funny faces.

The ulgy would be good but she is pretty hot. About 5'1", petite, blessed very well upstairs and long brown wavy hair.

Why don't you install a camera and some hidden ones so any would be attackers will know they are on tape. Will cut the risk. Also, if she were my wife, daughter, etc, She'd be packing heat. She can take a course to carry a concealed handgun.
 
tazer and pepper spray/mace. unless the guy is on pcp then pepper spray will work for her to run if trouble arises. My GF works fro a nationwide company that sells those products to law enforcement and the egeneral public. If you want a catalog then i am sure I can get you one. Also she knows all about that now... it's her job.

You the grunts and faces you make when you are praticing. That would be good defense but with her size. A big dude would still take her.

Curling, the popularity of the tazers are thru the roof. I would say it would be your best bet. Check your local gun shops, and make sure she takes the classes they offer.

I'm not sure what the requirements are. I know here in Cincinnati all the officers had to take classes when they first were issued to them. They can be dangerous, so I'm sure there are some course requirements.

But cops are kinda stupid ya know so they have to take classes for everything. Like I said, I don't care if she kills the perpetrator with it, but if she shoots her self with it she probably wasn't a good hire.

Tazers are an option. But do you want a lawsuit if she gets jumpy and tazers somebody? Or perhaps the guys gets it away from her and uses it on her? Maybe as a backup.
There is a blinding flashlight, I cannot remember the name right now. But it temporarily blinds the person and allows enough time to escape. That would be her next best option in my opinion if she is unwilling to use a gun. Let me see if I can find the name.

Found this, it has a pepper spray as well. not the one I was thinking of but you get the idea.

the best other method is one of those metal retractable batons i had one when i worked in the casino cage they are tiny enough to put on you belt and deliver quite a harsh blow especially when delivered to the knees or temples - they have proven to distract the assailants. also she cant get in trouble for using it especially if there are signs saying enter at your own risk or whatever goes with it


if she is supposed to be the only one there then she wont have to worry about getting too jumpy and hitting whoever if they are an innocent. maybe carry a cell phone as well and definetly get some cameras

Yeah, I've seen them shits. Someone posted a link before. I forget who. Or when. Or why. God I'm useless.
 
Set her up with some good self defense training... you can hand her any weapon you want but its known that most people panic in a attack situation.. even trained Martial Artist , if they aren't put through the attack scenario.. over and over again.

I've seen someone freeze just by the assailant shouting profane gestures at them.. with out the attack. In the selfdefense course I took... attack classes were made to be as 'real' as possible... anything goes.. yes that does include the clothes in a rape defense situation if you clam up and don't defend yourself.

Get her a weapon but also get her in some form of training.. one that will teach her how to remain calm in these situations... and use what she knows to either get the hell out of dodge if possible, or use her surrondings/anything in hands reach to protect herself.

IMO this is a must for every woman.

I bought one of those for my old lady to keep in the car with her and take in her purse if she is ever going anywhere alone. She has already had to pull it twice. She has never had to use it, but just pulling it out was enough to get them to back off. Once I get my tax return she will be getting upgraded to a Kimber Custom II.

Been tasered before, didnt really work on me it took three blasts and a bunch of pigpiling on me to get me down and you have to have good aim.
Mace really sux, we used to have mace wars and it doesnt do squat IMO. The only time it really works is a direct hit to the eyes then its brutal but you can duck it easily and close your eyes. The new foaming spray I guess is alot better but Ive never used it or seen it except on the show DOG.
My advice, get her a big ass MACHETE!!!!!
She whips that out and I dont think a man alive would stick around with her waving that around, or get mace too, use the machete to scare them first.
