What is karma

I have been hanging around here for a few months and benn participating in some interesting dialogue but have no clue what karma is. I mean I know what "karma" is but not as it applies to this site. I have all these karma points but what are they good for? I was thinking that maybe every 100 points gets Daisy's panties to lower a little bit then when you get enough points they just fall off but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If u wanna give it click on the Ying-Yang thing below my handle and post count. You can give + or - and give a comment. It basically says who is well liked and who is not...

Karma is an indication of what other board members think of you and your post quality. As far as what you do with it I think its just a good indicator to other peeps whether you are a good bro and helfpul or not. Look to the left on any post and down under the user name you will see "karma" , click it and a box pops up letting you approve of or disprove of the post and a comment. Then youi click ok....when you approve make sure you ahve "i approve " checked and click ok.....I swear I get a ton of postivie comments back that for whatever reason the K given is negative . not sure how that happens so often.

When you are looking at your profile to see who gave you K, you have green, grey, and red. I know what and how to give and recieve red and green but what's up with the grey??

If you don't have like 100 posts and 100 karma points or some thing like that then you give grey. It isn't bad but it doesnt add to a persons karma either.
