What does that really mean? There are plenty of tools around the ubernets. Although there are plenty of bad people, like serial rapists, murderers, con-artists, stupid or bigoted assholes, Texans, etc...most people are probably good and fine. That doesn't mean they aren't annoying douchebags that really don't deserve much online re'SPECK, however.
Does saying that someone is a good guy merely mean that you don't dislike him enough to get into an e-fight with him? That you don't mind if he's allowed to remain unmolested, as opposed to being b/\nn3d, having his connection terminated, and computer seized by the FBI?
I can understand saying it about someone who actually contributes with some heart, experience, intelligence, wit, maturity, cock pictures, etc...but in that case, let's give him more than "good guy." And let's not give him a "good guy" just because he isn't passionately hated by the majority.
Please, let's reconsider the usage of this poor man's compliment. Don't strain your eyes looking for something nice to say. Just be honest and not overly-vicious. Ok, just honest. If you don't want to be negative and yet remain truthful...don't say anything.
What I'm saying is: I hope you all think I'm a good guy.
I sometimes think the space between cushions on my couch is a big vagina.
