What is it about Forum Sites that bring out the Good, The Bad and the Ugly in People.....

I swear we have had some fun threads, and serious threads and some threads that are just damn right nasty

And boy have I laughed, cried and even got worked up....................
I guess everyone will always have an opinion about anything and everything

Good night

Threads bring about the truth - as shocking as that may seem.

People put on their fake happy smiles in the real world. It is all a facade. Here on the net people can be honest with their views.

It just goes to show how shallow we all are.

BTW I blame England too. Fuck the queen.

What do you mean by "how shallow we really are"? Yes, we do tend to open up more when being anonymous, but does that mean we'd be better off telling people in our real lives that they are "Fat" and "ugly", and tell your neighbor "Hey, I'd love to eat out of your wife's asshole with a fucking spoon all day long"? What exactly do you mean?

Sure honesty is generally better, but there is a limit. We do need to "put a facade" on sometimes. It's not a perfect world.

My take on things here and IRL is here yes, you can let it loose a little, but irl when people know you, you don't HAVE TO give them a descript idea of who you are by telling them. They just see it from your everyday actions and normal behavior and conversations. Here, you have to tell people "I like ass" or whatever because they would just know you as "the guy who never posts" if you didn't.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying that we're not the assholes irl as you would think. There's a different behavior to both places because it calls for it.

Hey Mr. Roger's-Won't you be my neighbor? :)

I agree. I'm "me" where ever I travel!

One of the problems with these forums is that you can't 'feel' the way people say things.

Unless you KNOW the poster and their style. It is VERY easy to misunderstand the intentions behind what the person is saying. Something that reads offensive could have been meant as a joke at the time it was written. Something that reads as sincere could just be straight up sarcasm...

So, you read something and have to take it at face value since you weren't there to feel it being said. It causes misunderstandings.

Some of us use smiley's and other ways to express the 'feeling' in a post. But most people don't.
