Etiquette is key. Putting your weights away and wiping your bench off if you left a Nasty mess of puddled sweat. Guys who arent embarrassed to ask a stranger for a spot instead of risking injury and looking like a fool when they get stuck. And dudes that ask to work in rather than just fucking up your shit and moving stuff around when you step away to grab a quick drink of water.

I'm impressed when chicks are throwing up good numbers on deadlifts. I find it sexy

Im impressed when a pregnant chick is on the treadmill trying to keep her shape as much as she can !! Thats hot !! Im not impressed when fat dudes with guts benching 315 and doesnt do any cardio to try and lose weight just lifts heavy .... I cant bench 315 but dont care cause when im at the pool and a hot 19yr old with fake tits and the roundest ass youve ever seen hits on me in front of my wife... makes this 39yr old smile and knows I still got it !!

Arnold wasn't mucho and yet everyone loved him and respected him, he was funny, sometimes acted childish... very great guy tho

Idk about that. A young guy came up to Arnold once and asked him what he did to get so big.

He told the guy to take eat a tablespoon of salt, then the next day eat 2 tablespoons of salt... etc. all the way to 30 days and 30 tablespoons of salt.

The kid nearly died.

consistent intensity

people who i see all the time giving 100% obviously with good form and all that

also the people that make real changes.. a huge guy who walks in and lifts the same big weights for a year without getting bigger.. so what..

the high school kid squatting 2x a week.. doing deads.. learning olympic lifts who grows and grows and grows..

that earns RESPECT

I wouldn't necessarily blame that on Arnold. That sounds to me like a joke made dangerous by ignorance.

For me personally its the attitude (swag) of the individual. I have trained many people, and the people that are most willing to learn and grow and don't mind their form or different points being corrected are the people that I respect the most.

I Agree. Attitude is number one in any sport or hobby and itll get u better results in the long run,

Theres alot of ways to make your mark on the gym, from pictures on the wall, plaques with names of records, and many others, but what about the every day life of a gym rat. The reason I say this is because I have been a member to my gym for 5 years, and have seen almost every type of lifter come through the doors from wanna be to doin it, from novice to expert and everything in-between. When a person comes in the door and you get that first glance of them peeping them out what earns respect points for that individual the most. The Form? The Weight? The Drive?

Attitude, form, and respect for others.

Form is also indicative of knowledge and discipline.

What impresses me most is someone lifting a heavy weight with good form. If your quarter squatting or benching you look stupid despite the amount of weight. All of us experienced lifters know that you can take 70% of that weight all the way down and lift it.
