What Evercise Can You Kick Butt In Compared to Others?

curling

New member
Mine has got to be either flies or cable rows. I can do 110 lbs(I think it is pounds) per arm on cable crossovers. On close grip cable rows I can do 160lbs (total) which even is more that really big dudes that try it.

Anyway what about ya'll?

I love doing bi's with dumbells. For some reason they are the easiest and just love doing them. The only bad thing is that i have to cath my shoulders and tri's up to them.
:D

Biceps are my strong point simmilar to hotties strong point. I am especially good at reverse curls and hammer curls with dumbells. Also I have a really good throw with a 60 lb medicine ball underhand and overhand. I am a powerlifter so I am working at bringing up my lats and triceps for catching up to my biceps and delts.

For me it's two things: tris and neck. My only genetic gift is large, strong triceps. Tri excercises are really the only ones I stand out in. Other excercises are about right for my size and experience.

The other thing, and I'm not sure how much this counts, is that I have an unusually strong neck. It's not real big, but I warm up with 90lbs on the neck machine. I go as high as 135 for 6-8 reps. Of course, the machine itself is supporting a lot of that weight, but it still seems to be quite a bit more than anyone else I've seen on that machine.

I can do 600 lbs on standing calf raises. The machine plates max out at 510, and I usually end up adding a 45 or 2.

DB rows are pretty good... (160+ per side). (I have to load up an EZ-curl bar since my gym's DBs stop at 110).

Squat/dead/bench are decent, but nothing compared to PLers.

So... my back is my strongest. Can hit 2 reps with 120 lbs on my waist on pull-ups.

standing calf raises
triceps....period

guess i look funny with that combo eh?

big ass gastroc and horseshoes. LOL

oh and anything that requires a stability ball, foam roll, wobble board or balance in general.

Damn dude GOOD work that is some heavy shit. How much do you weigh?

definitely for my size and age, 16 and 157 11% bf, 5'6", my triceps are pretty stong. i do skull crushers at 110 lbs dumbells for 10, tricep pressdowns at 170 (but different cable attatchments have diff wieghts so i dont know about htis one, and lying french extensions at 115 for 10.

Curling- weighed in at 221 last I checked, about 5'11". Back's always been strong as shit. Too bad my puny chest makes me look like a different person when seen from the front. lol

Leg extensions. When I was doing them with a fairly fast cadence, I had to use an extra 45lb plate stuck over the pin on the weight stack. I was doing more weight than I squat(Somewhere around 340lbs or so.) Lucky me:rolleyes:

Squats and deads, can squat 405lbs for sets of 5, ass to the floor, and deadlift 500lbs for sets of 5, 525lbs for sets of 3, and 575lbs for a single, all without a weight belt or wraps
In the end it's about how much I look like I can lift, not how much I actually can as I'm a bodybuilder, but I guess that makes me stronger than a powerlifter........

What is your bodyweight?? Claiming to be stronger than a powerlifter when yout max. deadlift is only 575 is a big claim if you weigh more than 220. Yes you are strong........but Ed Coan pulled 901 when he competed at 220. My ex-training partner could pull over 700 at 198.

So yes you are strong.......for a bodybuilder. But stronger than a powerlifter??

Hmm...this is tough. I'd probably have an easier time telling you what I *can't* do well :)

I'm pretty good at some of the Hammer pieces, like the Iso-Incline and Iso-Row. A guy who can do a strict flat bench of about 455 at "my" gym has trouble following me on both of those; he can double with four plates/side with a slight bounce on the second rep, and I can get one and about three-quarters of a rep (no bouncing) on the Iso-Incline. And I can outlift him on the Iso-Row if we're both fresh.

I can also leg press alot for very deep reps--10 plates/side for six, with my knees going back into my armpits on each rep. To be sure there are people out there that can blow that out of the water probably ONE legged, but I'm fairly proud of that since I had a serious lower back injury a few years ago. I've only been training legs in earnest since 2000, after I was given the green light to start really pushing things again. (Most of that time, I didn't even leg press at all.)

That's honestly about it...when I was around 250, I did SLDL with 350 for paused reps, no straps, no belt, but I'm not even close to duplicating that at the moment. Everything else I do is either just "okay" or pretty damn sorry. I'm not fat (~13% bodyfat),
and I have 18" arms, but my best curl to date was 115 for 6!
Ugh...

My ego wants to qualify that: the first five reps were *strict*, as in 4 second negatives and elbows damn near stationary; but still, given my size, that...sucks :) LOL.

This post is actually over a year old, but at the time my bodyweight was just over 200lbs. Recently I deadlifted 550lbs for 5 reps(raw with no belt or straps), have singled over 600 but hate doing singles. Considering all my lifts are raw with no belt, wraps, etc, I know I can hold my own with many powerlifters, but thats also cuz my old training partner is ranked #1 in Ontario as a super heavyweight, so thats where i learned to train
