what ever happened the the iron game(NEW GYMS)

well fuck me freddy did i get a "reality check" today of what gyms have turned into. what ever happened to juice heads that slam weights and grunt loud and a loud rock and roll station playing on the speakers?????!!!

today im doing chest at my new gym(about 5 months) i start off with incline dumbells ussually. so i warm up and get to the 100's. do about six reps nothing special but im done so i bring the weights down they slam on the ground like usuall. well some pussy fuckin personal trainer comes over and says" you cant bang the weights like that". i said what?? what do u want me to do their fuckin heavy. he goes,"well if u cant put them down then u shouldnt pick them up". (or something like that) i was like bro im not fuckin curling them im pressing them. how many people do u know that curl fuckin 100lb DBs. sl blah, blah and i was pissed

what the fuck is going on here today. i grew up working out in a powerlifting gym , i guess u could say. the military gym were cool with deadlifting and shit. now i get out of the aservice and join a gym and im hit with the reality of pussy gym mother fuckers....fuck this
 
Let me guess...you work out at a 24 hr fitness. I hate that place. I had a trainer come up to me after I was doing DB incline press with the 125's and I threw them down like I always do since I go to failure on every set. She says "would mind setting those down more quietly? My client is bothered by it.". I looked at her client, which was a woman in her mid 40's and way out of shape trying to balance on a ball while doing DB curls. I laughed and said that's how I train. She left me alone after that... ;)
 
I was at my first gym after I got out of the military, I was doing 125's at the flatbench. I dumped them after reaching failure and was heading to the water fountain and the guy that was working the desk downstairs comes running up the escalator and said that throwing the weights was against the rules or some shit like that. I asked him to enlighten me on how I should put them down? He showed me with 40's after doing 2 reps, all I said was wow! and headed back to my 125's. he watched me do my next set to failure and after I dumped them he came over and started giving me a hard time I said if you can show me how to put them down quitely I will. I was thinking to my self why do they even have dumbells that go that high for looks?
 
yea its pretty fuckin sweet when i go to Golds and christina aguilera or nsync is playin in the gym. thank god for my Ipod.
 
sucks to be you bros. my gym kicks ass, its a local mom and pop gym but very well equipped and they dont care what you do as long as youre not fuckin with anyone. lots of huge bros in there slamming weights around.
 
I remember going to my friend Max's gym once and they just leave the weight on. If you aren't strong enough to lift it, you take the weight off.

My gym was too wussy and crowded with housewives all day and night so I quit and said "10 years of gym membership will cost me 5k so I'll spend 5k on a home gym" I also coach high school throwing so I have a key to the high school weight room if I want to use that by myself in the evenings or on weekends.
 
Nothing motivates me to train like being in a big room full of frat boys furiously curling the biggest DB's they can cheat up. Kicks so much ass, I would never want to go back to a PL gym full of fat guys who can't accessorise for shit & dont appreciate the wicked pump you get from curling to the Black Eyed Peas

I feel ya bro! I work out at a gym that is overly crowded with people wondering aimlessly around trying to figure out what they want to do. :rolleyes: It is nice on Fridays and Saturdays though because everybody is tired by the end of the week and is too fucking lazy to come in so it is better. Music sucks at my gym as well. Nothing like squatting 675lbs to a slow song!!!! :heart:

na its gold gym...its brand new. fuckin hate it so much. in the military i would meet guys in the gym and we would share traingin and diet ideas..at this gym the guys are in there talking about their weeked and chicks....it such a fade now to workout....dont get me wrong i like to talk about chicks but theres a time and a place for everything. i put my headphones on and workout, thats it!!
