What do you really have???

b fold the truth

I've been sitting around and just thinking lately, mostly about what I really have in my life. A lot of what I found has just been depressing and an eye opener...

I will be 25 VERY soon. I don't have my college degree. I owe A LOT of money to credit cards, the bank, my family, and to my school. I don't have a job (terminated not long ago). I don't have any money. Most of my friends don't live here in this town anymore. I drive a truck with nearly 170,000 miles on it.

There is a lot that I don't have in my life and those things keep me down a lot...and they keep me way down.

The things that I do have...are very important. My mother, father, and sister love me so very much. I have two dogs that follow me around no matter where I go. I also have the most wonderful girlfriend in the entire world.

The only things that I have in my life come from love.

My best male friend lives in Nashville, TN and he is truly a man that I love. A true best friend. He does not judge me and I do not him...we just accept each other...always. My family loves me as I do them. We give up things so that we can be together.

My girlfriend, really does love me. I have never felt like a "somebody" till I met her. She truly does complete a part of me that I have never found before. If I had a ring, could afford one, I would be on my way to see her now... When apart from her, a part of me is missing. I feel crushed...and miss her.

Think about what you REALLY have in your life and what can be taken away. The things that I don't have...can be taken. The things that I do...the love...are forever.

Don't be so sure...Love can be taken away just as easily...or lost. I truly have nothing.

aw, come on. What about the record for most hand jobs given in a 5 minute period. No one can take that away from you.

It is that love...that keeps me going every single day.

I have ---

The love of a truley wonderful woman.
The love of two beautiful and adorable children.

If it weren't for this whole food, clothing and shelter business.....ahhh well....

I have my eyesight, my hearing, my breathe and my faith, to me that is enough, but my faith alone defines "everything" and is all I will ever need. paz

I have my health, a fantastic hubby, a happy, healthy little girl, the best family and friends in the world. I am blessed! All the money in the world would not make a difference to me if ANY of the above were not in my life.

Do I need or want more? Nope! Anything else is icing on the cake...

B-fold.....You have more than a lot of people in this world! You forgot to mention that you have a heart the size of Texas, are just about the sweetest most generous man , have the strength and WILL of ten men! I could go on.....

Sometimes we forget just how damn lucky we all are. A person IS not defined on what kind of job they have(or do not have at the moment) or even the amount of $$ they have in some bank!

Actually B Fold, you may want to follow this advice or disaster may creep up on you one day.
The world's universal travel is 360 degrees. Everything in motion travels toward its opposite. What goes around, comes around, or what you reap is what you will sow. We must travel these worlds of life, aware or unaware, willing or unwilling. The KEY is not remaining in one place and becoming stagnant (Inertia say that an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by some external force.) If you are not attached to anything, nothing can hold you back. You must travel through these spheres accumulating knowledge. Here is where the problem lies, getting into and out of life's spheres, or worlds without making any fatal mistakes. You must have guidance.

Every situation that you are exposed to either has something to assist or hinder you. Every experience is different from the previous one. You develop or remain stagnant, but you cannot go back.

Whatever universal energies you have wisely or unwisely set in motion must return to you, their starting point, like a circle completing itself. Within this circle you must stay aware that every secret is told, every injustice (crime) is punished and every act of goodness is rewarded. That is what maintains the balance. The laws when set in motion have the potential to work for us, when we live in accordance to mathematics. It is when we go contradictory and contrary to those principles that these laws work seemingly against us.

Attachment really needs to be examined here; because it is one of the factors which can hold you back and cause you to act contrary to the laws of the universal structure. In coming into new awareness, or holding onto the old thoughts, we find that you can very easily slip into comfort or satisfaction. Your pleasure should be derived from the experience of experiencing, not in trying to be possessive of a particular person, place or thing. The wise understand that you cannot possess anything without being possessed by it.

Can you imagine someone with the knowledge of reality making a choice to turn away from reality because of some attachment in a cycle that they were supposed to just be passing through? Attachment is a fatal mistake.

I have my freedom- for now.......
My sanity I'm fast losing.

Thats it.

I myself am trying to turn my life around. I am just a lazy child living off my parents. I didn't get a job this summer because i was too lazy, i have college applications to fill out and eassays to write before school starts... and i have yet to start any of that. All throughout grammer school and highschool i have been an 'average' student, not having cracked a book open and sailing with a A average while my IQ tests show i'm gifted, so come September, i will try my hardest in school. I have cut down on my drinking habits.. being only 17 i really haven't found a love in my life just yet, and i really don't want to until i'm in or out of college. My greatest accomplishment in life so far is pushing myself to be as healthy and fit as i am so far... but i need more than that like an academic goal. I am truly thankful for all my great friends and my parents for putting me in the greatest school ever, even though its a private school... it has its benefits!

If i apply myself, i can have almost whatever i want and do whatever i want. The way i am trying to turn things around, i should have my life completely on track once i'm in college or once in graduate school. :)

you think to much, just try to enjoy things. how succesful you are as a human being has nthing to do with what degrees you have or how much money you owe. it is measured in how much you love. and to me it seems you hae a bundle of it.

I have a boston market meatlof and mashed potato tv dinner and 1/2 of a mountain dew.

Great Post Havoc!

Very profound and true.

I guess my biggest asset is my heart. I see kindness in everyone and everything, unless they prove me wrong.

Great post Havoc, so true and yet seemingly so difficult to follow.

Can you recommend any books/literature based upon where your opinion here was derrived?

A starting point maybe?

Thanks

What do I have?

Family, Friends, Love and most importantly HOPE!

I have a child that smiles when I walk in the room, A wife who loves me (kinda stingy with the vagina though) But I still love her.
And great family.

I have everything.

I have an incredible family and an interesting mix of people who care about me. I have a little bit of sanity left and faith that I can get through whatever life throws my way.

That was really sweet, B. (for you & the lovely lady)

What do I have...wow.

A couple degrees, 204K in student loans, a clueless husband, a wonderful son, a house that's not too big and not too small, very healthy friends and family, a capable body and sick mind which I use hand-in-hand to move weight, a sweet little booga-booga doggie (awwww), a dependable car, etc... No job, weird love, lots of money but even more debt.

"Want what you have."

Works for me.

Why the hell do you owe 204K in student loans? I really hope those degrees yielded a high enough paying career to pay off that in a reasonable time. Thats rediculious.

what do I have?

I have a relationship with the Creator of the Universe.

I have the promise that I will spend eternity in heaven.

I have a great family, great friends and a future. I have an able body--I was born with no diseases or illnesses, I am truly blessed.

Great post Bfold.
I have a loving and beautiful wife. Parents who care about me more than themselves. I have a nice home/cars and good career.
But mosy importantly I have a God who cared enough to send his Son to die for my sins.
Bfold it sounds like you have a lot, but until you really think about what you have and what is important most take it for granted.
Also Bfold you get to look forward to the day when you are the worlds strongest man.

i have a loving family, a cute birdie, interesting friends. one really good person who lives much too far away for my liking... my health, intellect, compassion.

i don't own enough pants though.

Exactly...Money is only temporary as we're only passing through here anyway. When you die the largest sum of money in the world will not make a difference. I have a car with 70,000 miles and so far its been in the shop every week for the past month. As long as your 170k truck still runs be happy with it.

And whats up with that shit havoc keeps posting...its scaring the crap out of me!??!

Life truly is beautiful.

People tell me that I have a lot to look fwd to...and not to give up. All that I can or will have means nothing if I can't have my loved ones to share it with...
