What do you do on your 3x5 off days?

Wondering... after reading through the rules it seems very limited.

My friends and I like to go to the gym most days anyhow and I find it hard doing things as I might be messing up my lifts.

Does anyone do their auxillery exercises on off days?

Or perhaps an 'abs day'

Cardio...

Thoughts... My goal is to lose fat at the moment so cardio would be good, I guess I need to have the right amount though.

Do what you want as long as you can handle it :). Why don't you just do abs on the 3x5 days? I've read that doing abs on your off days isn't the best thing because they aren't as strong or are too sore to benefit your main lifts. I would suggest doing recovery workouts on your off days, that would be the most beneficial thing to do IMO
 
Agreed, especially now I am doing the 'needsize' ab work out!

I'm guessing Running on off days would effect your lifts.

I'll use the elliptical and do my abs on my lifting days.

What do you consider a recovery workout???
 
From what i've read you can do some brisk walking on an incline treadmill for 20 mins but presonally on my off days i train martial arts and still feel ok. (except that once in a while i take a week off from martial art training and lots of sleep)

go as you feel is proper for you. for maximal muscle gains cardio should be limited and some stretching could be implemented. But in general, go for what you feel is best for you. Just watch out as to not overdo it with excersises that might hinder your main lift days. So forget about abs.


P.S. what is the "needsize" ab routine?
