what do flyes work

Chest flyes I totally forgot about them and today i was like oh shit i need to add chest flyes in there. I did bench,decline,and flyes
are they more for definition or mass?? I feel great the best my chest has felt in a long time. I had to cut my bench down to 4 normally pyramid to 5 but i think thats pretty good for throwing in decline and flyes.. So could someone tell me how important they are and what they are good for mass or definition??

There's no such thing as either mass or definition. There's muscle tissue, and there's fat.
 
yeah like if it gets you ripped or bulk like for instance light wgets you definition. Like kickbacks they give you defitinon and pulldwons the bullk comes from the french curls and skullbashers

They work on tearing your shoulders to peices. Stick to working hard on your Inclines, they will build the mass you want. Heavy dips as well.

Mass comes from lifting heavy weights and eating a lot.

Definition comes from low bodyfat, not lifting light weights.
 
Incline thanks. Dips I'll throw in on my chest and tris workout. I have a draped chest so if it gets some mass on it it will look good but its hareder to gain mass in thanks again I'll try to emphasize that more.

Protobe, thanks. Yes you will like the inclines. Try to start out your dip routine doing your own body weight, 4 sets of 10. When that becomes easy, start adding weight with a belt. Dips will build the hell outta your tri's & chest if done properly. Good luck

yeah I used to do dip all the time they are the jail workout but they work like a charm thanks for reminding me about them

Dips are a great exercise, but they murder my joints -- I dunno why - I think its just my body structure. I throw in dips every 3rd workout or so.
 
Flyes are certainly a great chest exercise.

They are important because they really stretch the chest and recruit thousands of muscle fibers.

Overall, a great exercise if performed propertly.

Amen, I love them. Nothing like the feeling of the Chest when I finish off chest day with heavy incline flies done strictly and slowly.
 
they work your chest and your pec delt tie in.Like BigDawg said, slow and strict and don't let the weight carry you past your normal range of motion. Some stretch at the bottom is good, but to much is bad.
