What did you do this weekend?

Island_Girl

IFBB Pro Physique

Colorado had their last show of the season last night. 170 competitors. Biggest ever for the NPC Rocky Mountain. It was an amazing show with incredible quality of athletes. My husband and I judged the show and wow, it was not an easy show to judge. When some of your Top 5 is national level material, it's not easy to just place them. IFBB Pro, Brandon Curry was our guest poser. We picked him up on Friday afternoon and got to hang out with him, go eat and all that good stuff. Dropped him off at the airport this morning.

What did I do? I...CHEATED! Muwaha. And enjoyed every minute...and carb...of it! Friday was my mother's birthday, had two nice slices of her sugary sugary cake, then had some candy with my little nephew. Saturday for late breakfast/early lunch (slept in) I made a nice big ham/egg/cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread. My final cheat meal was buffalo wings, one of my 3 favorite foods, and a cookie for dessert. Feel lean as hell today! Back to good though, today it's back to the good old keeeto...finishing up a grilled chicken breast right now, then gonna hit the weights later on. All in all, a good weekend I must say :)

I finished watching season 5 of Lost and am a few episodes into season 6 and I'm decidedly still....LOST!! I hope I'll be understanding this show by the end or I'm gonna need therapy of some sort! LOL

Starting up a new program tomorrow...details to come!

Raced on Saturday, however was getting sick...spent Sunday on the couch wrapped up in a blanket watching movies and snacking on almonds while my hubby cooked a yummy roast. That was literally my whole day on Sunday. Got up at 5:20am and hit the gym....still kinda sick, but feeling waaaay better than yesterday!

I went to a party where I cheated as well, cake!!! Yum

RW, what kind of bike do you have?

Sat: hung out with some friends, went shopping, got a PS3 move, watched cops, played videogames (archery, table tennis, frolf, gladiator duels).
Sun: cleaned, laundry, went to friends parents house for dinner, watched football and had a meatball sandwich. Wore 4 inch heels, was almost as tall as my husband! He's 6'4" so it was funny.

went out for a cheat meal- MEXICAN!!! Starting with fajita nachos for the app then getting some carne asada for dinner! so good! saturday pretty much just worked, hit the gym, did a few errands (grocery shopping) and then relaxed, and then sunday i worked and finished moving the last of my stuff to the new apt!! great weekend all in all!

Ya' know I have never attempted to watch Lost. I hear lots of good things about it though.

Can't wait to hear what you're gonna try!

How are you feeling now? It's going around. It's that time of season. Ugh, I hope I don't get it. Hubby had the stomach flu and just started to feel better yesterday.

Hey, if you're gonna cheat, make sure it's with Cake! lol! I had a Tiramisu cheesecake with 2 scoops of coffee ice cream from the CCFactory this weekend. It was yummy!

Mmmmm you got me at meatball sandwich. lol Was that homemade?

4" heels! Where'd you wear that to? The football game? lol j/k

Sounds like a fun-filled weekend. Back to the grind now huh.

Yum Shannon! I love carne asada. That and beef enchiladas are what I usually order for Mexican. Ooooo, now I want some now. lol

Hope the Newlyweds are doing awesome!

I taught 14 eager american university students how to scuba dive in some freeeeeezing ass quarry in pennsylvania. I also ate like a FAT KID all weekend. Cookies, chili, pasta, bacon, beer brats, cake, chips....ughhhhhhhh.

Odd thing is, I'm pretty sure I dropped a couple pounds. I wonder if shivering burns a lot of calories? I spent probably a total of six hours in the water over the weekend and the water temp was a balmy 54 degrees, aside from the normal strain of constant swimming, lugging around about 80lbs of scuba gear, etc.

My friend Lisa's mom made the sandwich...she's Italian and it was delish.
The heels were just for fun, I wore them shopping and to Lisa's moms house.
yyeah, back to the old grindstone.
I wish I was a woman of leisure :)

I went to a friends house and we watched my South Carolina Gamecocks beat Florida in Gainesville (On TV, not in person) and ate the best she-crab soup I have ever had. Good weekend.

same thing that I do every weekend now :) Ride my horse at 11:00am and then just hang out around the barn. But this Saturday was a little bit different. I went to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in downtown Toronto. It was amazing to see a whole new level of quality competition. :) LOVED IT!! didn't really make it to the gym unfourtunatly... but yeah.. trying, trying to get myself back into the swing of things.

omg! You are tough! I would be a pansy in water of that degrees. hahaha.... I'm used to Hawaii's ocean. Bath water. LOL

Oh heck yeah! Carrying 80lbs. of scuba gear is cardio!

Mmmmm good 'ole Italian mama making homemade meatballs is da bomb! Sounds sooo good!

Those heels must've been pretty comfy. I don't think I can shop in heels, but then again, I can spend the whole day at the mall. :D

One step at a time, one day at a time!

Can you believe in ALL the time that I lived in texas even, and went to Mexican frequently, enchiladas are the one thing I have yet to ever try! But I know I like a lot of the same stuff you do, so I might just have to give that a go the next time we hit up Mexican! Still tossing around ideas for this weekends cheat! :chomp:

Although tonight I grilled up lean turkey burgers and made homemade sweet tato fries and that TASTED as good as any cheat!! :jenscat

omg! Are you serious Shan! You've never tried enchiladas? It is my FAV!!! I always order that! LOL! We went to Mexican I believe last week (got my food porn on FB) and I couldn't decided on carne asada or beef enchiladas. SOOOOO, I ordered both. haha. I got the carne asada platter AND ordered 2 side orders of beef enchiladas. I ate the whole thing! hehe

I want sushi for my next cheat!

I made meatloaf tonight. Yummmm! That was sooooo good!

I was actually thinking sushi or pizza for my next one!

I haven't had it in what seems like forever! Been craving chili too now that its cooler here, so need to whip up some of that with jalepeno corn bread mmm

lol I'm not going to lie, it was kind of rough. My wetsuit had a hole in the small of my back so I was getting a constant shock of cold water in a really sensitive area. At the end of each dive it was taking nearly an hour for feeling to return to my feet and toes. But I love love love scuba diving and in any conditions I will tough it out if I have to.
