Not true. You just need an opener and i'm trying to determine if you need an excuse or if you can just talk.

I have no problem carrying on a conversation i'm just curious as to whether coming up with an excuse to talk (what class did you get out of, did you understand this, thats a nice X where did you get it) is necessary or if i can just ask for a name and start a conversation that way.

Okay, I will admit to having tried to think of specific things to think of to start a conversation with a guy just because I'm shy when it comes to stuff like that. (Believe it or not). However, I've gotten a lot more ballsy lately or else, I just don't care as much. Maybe it's just getting easier. Who knows?

I just think that things have to happen naturally. What happens when you run out of rehearsed things and you actually have to let the conversation flow on your own wit and intelligence? Better to start it off that way.
