So you all know I was 9th in heavies at the Jr USA's. Yes 9th! I told you all I am not that great! Really though it just shows how tough national level is and how good the Pros so many down here truly are. So if anyone here has national level aspirations in the upper weight classes.....Eat your fucking wheaties! Branch Warren (extremely nice guy BTW!) was fuckin crazy looking. I was astounded. Anyways....I digress. It was an awsome learning experience for me as far as my prep goes. I found I need to carb load like a fuking mad man! I ate...get this!
3 jars of Natty PB. 6 bags of rice cakes, 12 pacs of oatmeal...the good kind with sugar, 5 banannas, 2 oranges, 7 cheese burgers. 1 jar of apple sauce (big one), 3 huge shakes,4 snickers,8oz mixed nuts, 3 english muffins, and a double 1/4 pounder. I could have ate more as I fucking pigged out after the show and I mean IHOPS and all a fucking ton of cookies and pasta and geezus so much and I just started to spill today.
I also talked with Jumbo Pulumbo (Super Cool dude!) at length and he gave me a very good assesment and also good ideas on overcoming my shortfalls which in contrary to my name here is my legs. I was previous to my quad injury very quad heavy...IE: Quadsweep! Since then I was way heavier and this is because my upper body is so much bigger now. Dave said my upper body being so good makes my legs which are good but a little light now look worse. He is right. He suggested orthotics which is brilliant as it does throw you in to proper alignment so you press propperly when squating and leg pressing. Almost all BB have fallen arches so he is correct and they will also help my knee pain! Well thats it for now I will have pics soon! Promise!
