So are you definitely supposed to carb load when you come off DNP? I asked this question weeks ago, but got either vague or differing responses, I think. I ended a 7-day DNP cycle on Friday. I planned on doing 10 days, but my roommates got so fed up with me drinking all our bottled water, opening our windows, and keeping all our fans on high (it's been chilly here to begin with) that I stopped for their sake. But I'm starting again in a few days--it will be my little surprise for them.
Anyway, Saturday and Sunday I lifted all restrictions on food and ended up eating WAY more carbs than normal. (Not all-day binges like you might get during a CKD, but a meal here and a meal there where I'd go crazy on the bread, the ice cream, or whatever.) I basically just followed my body's directives, but it would be nice if someone says you're definitely supposed to carb-load after DNP--that would let me rationalize my excesses and feel better about them.
Monday (today) I was planning on starting a generic ECA brand, to keep the appetite down, possibly shed some more fat, and possibly lose some water. I also plan to take dandelion pills as a diuretic. I probably put on a ton of water from the carb loading, in addition to what the DNP put on me, and I do not feel or look ripped at all (compared to when I started). Anyone have advice (or experience) regarding these substances in between DNP cycles?
Also: I was taking 700mg/ day on this last cycle (bodyweight 165). The sides reduced me to lethargy and I would spend 20 hours a day on our couch, completely useless. I can tolerate these sides, but considering my obligations as a working college student, and the aforementioned effects on my roommates, I don't want to go through this again too soon. So I plan to take about 300 mg/day on my next cycle, but take it for 15 days or so. Half the dosage, double the length. We've discussed this approach before, but please anyone chime in if you have advice or experience with such a cycle.
What sacrifices we make for our bodies--I hope the ladies appreciate it!
