I dont know what is goin on with me. I am NOT taking anything other than a ton of protein from day to day. I just started my dieting for compitition monday. For the last two weeks, my body has broken out horribly with pimples no matter how much i shower or use oxy pads all over, and my strength is goin through the roof. Im 19, almost 20. In one week i added 10lbs on my bench, 2 plates on my leg press (45's), able to do 4 more pullups than usuial, and similar results in everything else. Im guessing my testosterone levels are way up right now. I am kinda shocked/worried/happy because i did NOTHING to bring this about. 240g of protein at a bodyweight of 180. What is going on?

im not sure, but my workout partner went through the same thing when he dieted for his first show, he even went to the doctor about it. All he could do was scratch his head and say "well, congradulations on your lifts'

so ill save you the doctor bill..... congradulations.

haha i love that answer yeaaa!!!!!!

How long did it last for him? Did he GAIN muscle while on his cutting diet for his first compitition? I just wanna know what to expect. GREAT NEWS. Now all i gotta do is try to control the pimples lol.

Try this, it worked for me. As i've posted about this numerous times here.

Go to a dermatologist and tell him you want Plexion Wash. Its a very commonly used antibacterial soap with sulfer and some kind of sulfacet oxide in it. I was all busted out all over my shoulders, neck, chest, and back. i use it once a night in the shower and let it sit on all busted parts of the body for about 2 minutes. Also make sure you wash right after you train. dont sit in sweaty cloths. shower with it as soon as possible and after about a week you should have seen really good results. Mine are gone. occasionally one or two may pop up but, shit cant get em all i guess.

I hope this helps

Hey Scaggs, I have that shit all over my upper back too, I've been trying this Neutrogena Body Scrub using one of those body puff things to try and get it off. I tried scratching it to death until I ended up leaving my skin dry and irritated. How much does this Plexion Wash cost? Or a visit to the dermatologist?

well i don't have coverage and it only costs me 40 bucks for an office visit. he'll also prescribe you 3 refills that will last you close to a year.. he'll want to see you back in a few weeks but you don't need to go. I never do untill i need a new prescription. The wash is cheap too. under 20 bucks im sure. It should definetly help. All the dermatologist there even use the shit because its so good. Try it out. what do you got to lose besides the nasty aching back acne. Mine was so bad it hurt when people hugged me. Now they are all gone. If i stop for a week they come back. Try not to bust them when they aren't coming to a head, you'll scar yourself.

If you need more info just let me know. I'll be going for refill soon and i will find out how much it costs for you.

Could it be that you were poorly hydrating yourself before and now you are drinking alot more water? That will do it (the strength part).

Are are you working out at a different time of day than you used to?

Also helpful is Benzoyl Peroxide (10%) wash. That's what my doc prescribed to me. This, in combination with topical Retin-A Micro, has eradicated the acne vulgaris (that's the name for back/shoulder acne) I once had. You can try Minocycline as well, if need be. However, I'd try to stick with the topicals and washes, at least in the early going.

Sometimes it just seems that your body goes thru a natural cycle where you break thru plateaus. If you have that kind of drive that makes you not want to leave the gym, take advantage. Or maybe your work out partner is slipping D'bol into your protein shakes. Also, for the acne problem. Change your sheets and pillow cases as often as possible. Change them every day if possible. Shower before you go to bed rather then when you wake up. Use a back scrubber in the shower. I use mine to even scrub my chest and arms. This will keep extra dirt and oils from getting in your poors.

I dont have a workout partner lol. I like it better by myself that way i dont have to worry about what someone else wants to do. Definatly no way there is any kind of anabolics in my diet. I AM drinking a lot more water than i used to. That would account for the strength gains? Whatever it is, i welcome it. Pimples are ALL fading thanx to OXY pads being applied 3 times a day.

That was the first thing my doctor told me. Drink more water. He said i wasn't getting in enough. so i was drinking so much friggin water i was pissing every 30 minutes. i did that for over 2 weeks and they hadn't cleared a bit. Testosterone itself can cause your sebacaucus glands to become overactive. Basically the more you train the more Test you make and for some like me...that = overactive sebacaucus glands which cuases back acne.

That retin-a stuff does a serious number on my skin. whoa it turns my pimples into legions that look worse than the acne. It flattens them but leaves a red legion for about a week. I tried that stuff. Not for me. So far Plexion is the easiest and most effective for me.

If anyone does try the plexion wash post your results. I would like to hear how it does on someone else. Thanks

Ok here is all the info on Plexion Cleanser.

It contains Sodium Sulfacetamide 10% and sulfur 5%

It comes in a 12oz bottle which last a long time. I must get 3 months out of it.

It's used for a number of skin problems ranging from acne, to rosacea. It doesn't sting and wont dry you out if used once a day.

If you want more info just go to.http://www.plexion.com

Ok for me. plexion wash costs 10 bucks a bottle under a prescription plan. I asked how much it costs without a plan and she said $75. I was blown away by that.

this might help or it might do squat but b5 can help with skin problems that are caused by hormonal fluctuations...

do a search for pantothenic acid (sp?) and you will find some good stuff...

its cheap too..

i use the plexion cleanser. great stuff. another product that has sodium sulfacetamide is klaron lotion if i am not mistaken. i have heard of some people actually using dishwashing soap in the shower. i guess it kinds just sucks the oil right out of you. but its supposed to be really hard to wash all of the soap off of your skin. it will also leave your skin really dry, so you will want to buy some water based moisturizer. i believe cetaphil has a really good water based moisturizer. my acne was never that bad, but it was stubborn as hell. right now im on accutane and its working miracles. so far the only noticeable side effects are chapped lips and dry skin. all of which are easily treatable. oh yeah, and a little muscle aches primarily in the back when working out if i dont take an advil.

I'm not sure if it's related to this or anything, but two months ago, when I started seriously lifting, I started to grow hair on my chest.

One more body part to keep hairless now.:bawling:

Interesting. But is accutane really worth it if your acne isn't that bad. Mine was really bad and it cleared up from Plexion. No sides. I was offered accutane but i've heard some scary sides with it in long term usage.

i think its worth it. my acne wasnt bad it just never gave up. i want the 110% clear feeling. and accutane goes in cycles. usually between 4-6 months. the side effects atleast for me have been hardly any at all. chapped lips and dry skin are basically the only two. and all you need for those is aquaphor chapstick and a prescription moisturizer and youre set. its great to wake up in the morning and theres hardly any oil on your face. even if you skip a facewash you wont break out. and its the same for hair. i could seriously skip showers for 3 days and my hair wouldnt be greasy or anything.im in my third month of treatment and theres maybe 1 pimple on my face. theres only two on my back and my chest and shoulders are completely clear. this is the clearest ive been since like 6th grade.
