Weird incident at the Post Office involving **Express Package

So i get to my PO Box and there is a note that i have an express package from China inside. I think to myself damn, it took only 6 days to get my IP sust. I get inside the post office and hand the guy my card. He goes to the back to pick up the package and comes out and tells me i need to step into the office. I am shitting my pants at this point. The post master comes in with the package in hand and says "i've been waiting to see you". He tells me that my package arrived opened and it's contents are empty. I'm like wtf? He asks me what was in it and out of nowhere i come up with a story that it was a xmas gift from my old college roommate. I tell him i don't know the contents because it was a gift. He tells me i should sign for the empty package and fill out some forms because express mail is insured up to $500. I told him that i'm gonna call my "old college roommate" tonight to double check if it was from him and find out what was inside.
My question is should i sign for the package and fill out the forms claiming that their was a rolex in their and receiving my $500.
Or should i not go back in case they are trying to set me up to sign for the empty package.
Please this happen to anybody else?

that sounds way fishy... i mean it was just empty???? from what i know.. his packages don't break apart on their own... i would take it as a loss ..

i mean, i tracked the package and it cleared customs in a day
when he showed my the empty parcel there was no customs tape, just the empty parcel

couple months back when I picked up my package, you could see where one oil packages had broke opened or was not closed all they way

yea it might be a setup, although the rolex idea is tempting, i would just say fuck it and ask ip for a resend

Leave it alone. 100% of everything I get from Bruce is golden, but if i were in your shoes,......get a new box in a different town and forget about that pkg.

I'd rather 'wonder' about what if, than sit in a cell KNOWING i should've walked away.
