Weird experience at the barber shop

I decided to check out this new baber shop that my roomate told me about. Previously, I had been going to Supercuts and Fantastic Sams, becasue they are conviniently close to me, but had not been too pleased with the way the left my doo.
So I go to this barber shop and the barber turns out to be pretty cool. We had a cool conversation about a car chase that was on TV and other barber shop small talk and the guy actually cut my hair good. At the end of the hair cut, when he finished shaking the loose hairs off of me, he takes out some sort of device that slips over his hand and turns it on. I thought "maybe it's a mini vac and he's going to vaccum some of the hairs off me". Well, it turned out to be some sort of massager. It was weird, this guy just rubbing that vibrating shit on my shoulders. Instead of relaxing me, it made me tense. I've never heard of a massage after getting a hair cut, I am sure that this is this guys gimmick to get tips, but it made me a bit uncomfortable.
