Weightlifting shoe question

Alright, finally broke down and bought a pair, 'cause I really want to push my cleans and front squats. Is it ok to do everything in them though? I really don't want to have to bring 2 pairs of shoes on DL/FS day. Also, do they need to be broken in, or can I start using em immediately?

I use mine for most my compound lifts but change them for stuff like pullups, dips, cardio etc. where I am not really concerned about stability. I think some people use them just only for squats though.

Why change for pullups or dips? Running or cardio I can understand but the other two your feet aren't even on the ground?

I wear mine for all the lifts i'm going to be doing that day usually. I usually deadlift in them even though it might not be the best, I figure if you clean with them on mine as well use them to dead too.

Break in? If you think they need it do it if not don't worry about it.

Actually, i was wondering about using em for deads so it WOULD carry over for cleans. I can pull pretty heavy, but lack power to pop it up, wanted to work on that. Thanks guys.

Sure! I haven't gotten em yet, still waiting on shipping. My dog ripped up my chucks....so instead of buying another pair, figured I'd get the real deal. Adidas Ironworks II.

I suppose you could wear them all the time but just less wear and tear on em in the long run to take them off when not needed. My Adidas cost about $200 bucks so I figure I will get my moneys worth that way. Now if you got Converses then I guess it doesn't really matter. I do wear mine for squats, deads, benching, push presses anything I think stability is an issue. Dips, pullups, leg lifts, cardio etc. I do last so I usually take them off for those because you don't need them. Just how I do it.
