Hello im new to body building and let me say im a little man only 125lbs and 5'8. I did some research on a few weight gainers and i was looking in to some peoples thought that have had expersince in the products/lifting... And if possiable if there are other supplments that will help me gain some pounds. Will be looking forward to some responds.. thx for your time :)

When I first started lifting I was Aschwitz skinny. I think my main supplement was Weiders Mega Mass 2000 - or something similiarly named. It really helped add extra calories to my diet, and extra bodyweight to my frame. In those days I was so skinny that even gaining bodyfat made a big improvement to my apperance.
Good luck Bro, and welcome aboard.

You need to eat more and train more. You'll grow.

As for gainers, they're all pretty much the same -- protein fat and sugar. BIG BLAST is the only one different but you won't need that yet. Just get more cals into you.

Nelson is right in that changing ones eating patterns and training is the most effective way to gain weight. As a hard gainer myself I had to start forcing myself to eat six or so meals a day despite my not being hungry. It is a lot more difficult than it sounds.

Using weight gainers for between meal snacks is for many a great way to add extra clean calories. I have used Gaspari Size On which doesn't taste that great in my opinion but produces excellent results and is backed by the Gaspari reputation. I've also used Ultimate Nutrition's Real Gains which is considered by many, myself included, to be the best gainer powder for your money.

Many beginners do not trust those that promote that changing ones eating patterns is THE BEST way to add weight and immediately look to gaining powders. I recommend that no one reading this thread make this mistake. Good Luck goober.

Yeh I can attest to that. I thought i would never need to diet or train as hard and im 5'9 and i was stuck at 160lbs.. so for about 3-4 months i ate a ton of good whole food and only used protien powders to fill in the nutrional gap and i went from 160 to a clean 180lbs.

It works man and eating when ur not hungry is real hard but you can do it! Its so worth it bro you will start to explode

If you want to put on weight you need to shovel that food in your mouth. Best piece of advice is mostly what people are saying here already, eat about 6-8 meals a day (about every 2 hours) The most important meal though is post workout, here is where you want to get in a LOT of protein and fast absorbing carbs (like white rice or bread, not whole grain, it digests to slowly), and that is where weight gainers are great, but just like everyone else said take them between meals. Also right before bed take a protein shake with casein protein as it releases slower and will prevent muscle breakdown over night.

Once you got your diet down pretty damn good and for about 3 months or so, if you want you can dable into some supplements like creatine, glutamine, and such, i wouldn't dive into anything hard just yet (for at least a year).

If your only 125 lbs your are going to want to take in about 250 grams of protein a day, about 300 carbs, and your total caloric intake should be around 2500. Doing this along with exercising right should defiantly get some weight on you. Let us know how you do.

i was 170lb when i started back weight training 11 years ago. i ate and ate and ate......could not gain weight. my bud at the supplement store suggested "heavy weight gainer 900" it was low in sugar, high fat from medium chain triglcerides and red meat protein. i took half a serving three times a day and 3 months later i had gained 20lb!!! if you are a hard gainer these type weight gainers are helpful. just stay away from the high sugar formulations. you can make your own:
2 tablespoons of smuckers peanut butter.
1 banana
10 oz 1% milk
2 scoops whey protein (35-40 gm)
blend that shit up.

You did not tell us your age. I will assume you are younger than 25. At your height and weight you do NOT need weight gainer (in fact, nobody needs it). Make up a meal plan that includes 5 meals a day and 1.5x your body weight in protien. Eating this much protien will give you plenty of calories and protien.

At your current stats bro, EAT ANYTHING. Burger King, Pizza, Steaks, Subs, whatever, all bets are off for you, just eat!!!! Then once you gain 30 or 40 lbs readjust your diet accordingly. But at those stats you are naturally skinny and you could eat whatever the fuck you wanted and not get fat. Just remember to stay in the gym and you'll stay fairly lean

Just make sure you are eating a nutrient rich diet. No shake is a replacement for good food. Also make sure that the high calorie shakes you are drinking aren't filled with sugar otherwise you are going to put on fat and not quality muscle.
