Was just told I was fired?

I've been off of work on disabilty since the 2nd week of June.
I've not called into work since, but called today to see how my coworkers were doing. One guy told me he heard I was fired or am going to be fired?

I LOL, firing or going to fire someone on disability is a HUGE law breaker.

I hope they do it, I would make more money in a lawsuit than going back to work for those aholes!

Could just be a rumor, but I emailed the head of my HR dept who is a lawyer to tell her I heard I was fired.

Waiting for her reply. Should be a good one

They are no loopholes when one is on disability.
My co has been sued before for wrongful dismisal.
They lost every time

And they are not a mom and pop co. They are the largest valve company in north america. They would be foolish to play this game

No. You're wrong. My mother went on short term disability for almost the full time allowed and in that time she had nothing to do with work.

I do one better, I keep my employer up-to-date on all my medical appointments just to show good faith.

I don't have to keep in contact with the company
I'm a material/machine parts buyer. I've been there 8 yrs.
