Was I wrong to call my mothers Pastor to ask if he could visit her at home?

As you know, my mother is dying of COPD (Emphysema). She has hospice care 2 times a week and is unable to go to her church anymore unless I take her however she is unable to sit through a sermon anymore due to her decreased oxygen level. She has been a member of the First Presbyterian church for 42 years and absolutely adores the pastor, Dr. Westmoreland. I asked her if anyone had been by or phoned her from the church and she has repeatedly said no. I called him yesterday and he just returned my call and he said he was unaware of her condition however he would make it a priority to go and see her. Im delighted that he is taking the initiative to do this however was I wrong by calling him? I thought that was the pastors job to check on members and assist? I guess, I feel bad for having to call him? My mother would whip my ASS if she knew I had called him. lol Im serious.. lol shes 98 pounds soaking wet and Im 220 lbs. Thank you for your thoughts on this?:artist:

I think thats good you called. Whatever gives your mom more comfort in her time of need is great now.

I dont understand how you are so upbeat on here all the time with having to deal with that, damn man

Thank you, I have never had to deal with anything like this before and I must tell you , its challenging watching a parent slowly die. Its absolutely heartbreaking.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this right now. :(. I can only imagine, i've never been down that road

Oh Arabian, I'm so sorry to hear this about your mom.:(

You were absolutely right to call her pastor, don't think twice about this.
