Fuck.

So my wife and I left one of our cars in California so that her parents could use it whenever they came into town. We decided to ship it back here and trade it in for something else. Paying a company $750 to bring it over here. Fine.

Naturally, we're coordinating with the family members who were currently holding the car in Cali. Transport company said they would pick it up last Tuesday...they didn't show till Thursday. Whatever.

After they picked it up, said transfer would take no more than 5 days. Last night (6 days later) they call me and say it will be delivered this morning. Fine.

I call the driver and let him know that because they told me 5 days and its not been 7 days, he's going to have to work around my schedule...as I have a job and meeting and such. I ask him if he can drop it off no later than 8:30am. Sure, he says.

8:30 comes. Then 9:00. Left him 2 voicemails. Finally calls me back at 9:30 saying it'll be here in 40 minutes. Fucker. I have to reschedule a whole bunch of meetings. Calls me again and says that due to the size of his truck, he may have to drop the car off 2 miles away. Mother fucker, I live on the intersection of 2 wide open streets. Plus, it's fucking thunderstorming outside so you can bet your bottom bitch that I'm not walking/cabbing 2 miles for your fucking shit.

Assholes probably going to give me attitude when I don't tip him anything either.

God dammit.
 
I had a bad experience with a shipper as well but theres not much you can do about it cause they have your shit....lol I just had to pay (the full price no doubt) so that i could get my boat from them.

Now 11am and the car's still not here. Left the guy a VM reminding him I work for a living. Called me back with an attitude, saying this is the way it is.

I'm going to punch this guy in the head when I see him.

I used a carrier a few years ago that was great. I can get the name of the place at home tonight if you want. Polite and timely. Delivered within 1 hour of their quoted time and it was a 1300 mile delivery as I recall.

In the future he may need another car shipped and I am providing a reference on a better carrier.

no there is the aspect of the shape of the car. these horror stories usually end in people having rock chips and dents on their cars. look it over carefully before you let this fool leave.
 
yep, don't sign shit, do a very good inspection and file the insurance claim.. you did buy the rider from them right?? it hits them harder everytime there is a claim..

If it's a reputable shipping company they should've done a full walk around of the vehicle with his in-laws and noted any damage to the car on the bill of lading.

When they unload the car they'll do another walkaround with 75th before he signs the bill of lading.

So I catch a cab to pick up my car 3 miles away. I short change the guy $200 ( gave him $500 instead of $700 ). I already had the key and the car was ready to go, so when he asked for the rest I told him to take it or leave it. He said the company would be calling me to settle this, I told him that's fine with me.

Meanwhile, I had written a horrible review on the autotransport site. No longer than 10 minutes after it was published, the company leaves me a voicemail bitching me out, saying I should have went to them before writing a review, and that because of my negative review I would be hearing from their attorney. oolollolol

10 minutes later I get an emailfrom the review site telling me my review was taken down because the company said I was never a customer. LOL. So I foreward the review site copies of the shipping agreement and all our email correspondence and the review goes back up.

Naturally, I call the company back. Once I tell the fucker my name and that I got his voicemail, he pauses and says "Yeah, did you have a quote with us? We don't see you as a customer." I tell him to knock off the bullshit and explain to me what his attorney planned to do in regards to the review I wrote. "Uh you're breaking up." I'm on a fucking land line, asshole. "Yeah you're breaking up and we don't have you as a customer."

And he hangs up on me.

tried calling back twice and he keeps hanging upon me once I tell him my name.

Look into the history of the word. They both mean the same thing. Depending on where you are. I think Damnit is how it should be correctly spelled.

Damn + it = damnit...where did dammit come from?? where did the "n" transform into an "m"

Post the review site here and we will all make negative reviews, they will have to continually take down tons and tons of reviews. We will make them suffer.
