Wanted: Good Protein with added carbs

I was once told you can get protein powders that have added carbs, to help increase your daily carb intake. But searching on this board, everyone seems to want less carbs :(

Does anyone know a powder that has added carbs? Met RX original or ultra maybe?

Prolab, N-Large2 is a good mass gaining formula

CytoGainer from Cytosport is the best i have ever tried, all complex carbs decent protein (especially if you mix a few scoops with some 100% whey) and tastes Great...

Champion Nutrition's Heavy Weight Gainer 900. 900 calories, 101grms of carbs 51grms of protein. Its also loaded with all the vitamins and minerals. Thats what I use. I think it tastes good too.

Why in the world do you feel you need carbs with your protein drink when eating carbs is the easiest thing in the world? Mix bland protein powder with Nestles Quik and not ony will you get carbs but you'll get a protein shake that tastes better than anything on the market.

I find getting high carbs in my system to be the hardest thing in the world for me. I get bloated and it fills me too long. then i end up skipping meals that would have packed in the protein.. Interesting idea though on the nestle quick with the protien. I might try that. :D

Order a shitload of dextrose and/or maltodextrin. Cheap as dirt and much better than the sugars from most sources.

Thaibox -- What makes you think dextrose is any different than sucrose? Maltodextrin is worse because it isn't as sweet so you need more of it. It's still 4 calories of carbs per gram.

SlapitHard -- What do you think a carb is? All carbs turn to glucose (sugar). I guess you can use a higher glycemic index, complex carb like whole wheat, but that would taste like shit in a shake.

Hmm I was thinking earlier he posted it because he didn't want to just add sugar to his shakes, otherwise he could just add some fat free vanilla ice cream if he just wants sugar. Tastes like a good milkshake.
