No deal.

While I love the Frisky, I'm a definite no go on that expectation. If the Jets manage to win outright or cover, I'm inclined to keep every karma point and continue to host daily events. Not 1 single karma point will be donated to anyone that lost 50,000 hits. The reason? People will expect a donation when they lose in the future. I can't be seen as soft. I'm supposed to be heartless. It's business. If you really cared you would have put your Atlanta pride aside and bet on the Jets to help out the swole. That would have been a great deal. Had you done that, I might have considered donating even more karma to you if the Jets won since you helped balance the karma event, despite going against your team.

Aside from bookie stuff....that's another person...

I don't get off taking 1,000,000 points from my frequent customers. Bookies know the best way to keep people coming back while still making karma (or $) is to set the limit at a point where it doesn't put the bookie or customer at risk of going broke. I failed to predict a huge pile-on like this when I made the event. No other bookie in the history of EF has seen this type of 1 way action.

It's all good bro. Let's see what happens tonight.
 
this thread is a huuuuge dissappointment from Lestat. wow. Swole. You have every right to be pissed. Not in a win or lose sense, but more so the the dirtiness to Lestat's intentions. Shocker.

I guess i didn't pick up the sarcasm in Swole's earlier posts..

we've seen pile ons that go the other way and the bookie makes out.. true, swole is correct, this is action like we've never seen before.. but its only going to get heavier..

think about it, we used to be 1000 and that was a LOT, now with limits up to 50,000 you will see K change hands in much larger amounts.. it will all balance out in the end..

and in the end, MORE action = better for you as a bookie.. especially being 1 of only 2 or 3 bookies.. you're gonna earn yourself an ipod as well.

Pile-ons: Bookies determine if the action gets heavier. Don't forget it is the bookie that sets the limit per each event. Try winning back your karma with a 1000 limit on each event. I would never do this since people would lose interest regardless, plus I'm not a dick like that.

Balancing out in the end: Thanks for assuming it will all be OK, Mr. Karma DarwinYinYangDaliLama of all that is green.

Bookie action: All I need is 5 people to place bets on an event and it counts toward the contest. It doesn't matter if the wagered karma adds up to 50 or 500,000; as long as 5 people placed at least 1 karma point on my event then it counts toward the contest. You people won't bet on 1000 k limit events, so I'm forced to create action with high-limits. Kinda like you need more coke to get high. Always needing more.

This whole fiasco has me recalling a famous quote.

excuse me i was going to put 20k before i saw this thread, the bookies set the limits and i bet based on how strongly i think about what im betting on, im sorry it dind't work out for swole but im not a bad bro becuz of it :)
