Wanna hear something sick about GNC

Its well known at my GNC that the majority of inositol in bulk purchases are for cutting cocaine...what I find particularly sick about that is GNC still sells large quantities of Inositol, but we jack up the price tremendously....something like 130 bucks for 500 grams, when you can get 300 grams for 7 bucks at BAC. Obviously anyone with some knowledge is not going to pay for that..but who is? Not to sound 'racist' oooh but in my area at least the majority of buyers of large quantities of inositol have been latinos and trailer trash looking folks...

Basically GNC is capatilizing off this for its usage in coke which I find to go right along with their extreme disgusting greed that makes my fucking skin crawl..I will be out of there soon.

To all the bitches who'd whine about the above: GNC has a badass tax racket going. They write off all returns as losses, but since they are so successful and markups are so high, it doesnt even matter.
 
It is the most phony, lying, scheming, greed infested shit corporation I have ever encountered...KFC was 10000x better than them in terms of greed ... they are pure scum, their entire business model is based on lies and deceit, false promises and no results..
 
frackal how are you benefitting from working at this place right now? do you get supplements from them or anything? i was actually in a GNC last week getting a few protein/carb bars so i had something to gnaw on during this all day seminar i had last friday. i think i would go broke if i decided to buy my protein powder from them. why don't you just go back and fry up some chicken since you are hating this place so much? you had some good stories while working there. lots of ripping on fatties for tearing up some friend chicken.
 
Main reason is the ability to spend most of the workday studying, I'm working on 2 different job possiblities that likely wont pan out and when and if they do not I will probably go on to work towards being a personal trainer after swithcing to a GNC closer to me, since i moved I also have to drive 20 min to that shithole so its basically pointless. I do buy some supps from them but nothing significant. I would never go back to KFC though lol
 
I never go to GNC; way to expensive..

At least at GNC Frackal you don't smell like fried chicken... :D

Frackalackal, I still say the KFC job was pimp. I tore up some of their chicken tenders this last Saturday for my cheat meal and smeared the mashed potatos all over my face before shoving the biscuit inside me. I get into my food when it's worthy. And KFC is always worthy. Perhaps you can suggest to GNC management that they would pull in more revenue if they opened up a KFC inside the GNC store. You know how they do like Subways in some gas stations? You could herd the fatties in for some greasy chicken and then sell them Ripped Fuel on the way out. Cha ching.

Its much easier to just crush up a bunch of ephedrine tablets and cut cola with that.. Its actually cheaper too.. I tried it with chinese superclen once but then my heart rate got up to about 200 beats a minute and I figured it was pry not a great idea.
 
BTW KFC was alot of fun...I just feel Im above that in terms of skill and the amount of cash I want to make...but I had alot of fun there

What about when bitches that are a good 225-275 come in, buy a bottle of Ripped Fuel or Xenadrine, and return it like 2 weeks later. They'd always be like "i took this shit and didnt lose any weight" or "i took this and gained 3 pounds!". I'd say, "Well what was your exercise program like?" Fat bitch: "WHAT?! You mean you have to exercise with this stuff?!" :mad:

I'd seriously want to pop them right in the mouth, but the only thing that calmed the rage was the fact that I was getting another free bottle of Xenadrine/thermogenic.

Another annoying one was "This stuff is like speed, it made me all jittery" Me: "Well did you start with half the dosage to gauge how it made you feel like the label said" Them: "No"...

Those dosages arent for a 135lb woman, they are for a 200lb man. Dumbasses...

You have worked at GNC for how long and just now realized that the cost of the $149.99 bottles of Inositol is only $6.50? GNC knows what people use it for so they jack the price up to the point that supply meets demand. One time I had 4 guys come in that were straight from the ghetto driving a new Benz that walked in a put 8 fucking bottles of Inositol on the counter. I didnt give them the second one half price or a gold card discount so the total was like $1300 or something rediculous.

Guess what they did? Handed me 13 $100 bills and took off without even getting a receipt. They could give a fuck, the Inositol that I was making $120 off of per bottle they were probably making $1200. I knew it, they knew it, they knew I knew it. IMO, they were actually "decent" drug dealers in the fact that they were cutting powder with something harmless like inositol rather than some cheap fuckers who use baking soda or god knows what else.

Quit bitchin and get with it. I learned so much working at GNC once I realized that Ronnie Coleman doesnt take creatine and that 90% or people are lazy and want something for nothing so if you make a product that says "lose weight with no diet or exercise", no matter what the fuck it is, dumbasses that smoke, eat like shit, but are afraid to take ephedrine because its "dangerous" will buy it in a second. Just look at the Hollywood 24hr Diet. The best shit GNC has and where the money is, is in the vitamins, minerals, and herbs. They are low cost, high margin, EXCELLENT supplements. You make more off a $50 purchase of vitamins and minerals than a $150 purchase of Cell Tech and Aceatabolan II.

Most people are dumb and lazy, thats why the ones that arent take all their money. Now wake up and get to reality, start doing it or go back to KFC!:D

Protein: 0g(Yes.......0 g. No typo :) )

Carbs: 25g

So, the whole bottle(Rcommended 1 per day..LOL)

is: 800 Kcal and 200g carbs. No fat or protein whatsoever.

What a farce.

I'm absolutely aghast at the fact that these things sell like hotcakes at the CVS right around the corner from where I live.

I have a bunch of blank gift certificates from when I worked there, its not too hard to immitate the purpulish colored typing on the back to activate it. I was going to give myself a bunch of $75 and 100$ gift certficicates....then go to town...hehe


When I worked there I made less than $7.00/hour...Worked for over a year, no raise...didnt even make comissions on all the Xenadrine I sold or what ever else most other GNC workers at other stores got comissions on. I got a 30% discount and with that I was still paying more than what I would at vitamin shoppe. Inventory days sucked, whenever we got a new shipment we would always have to change the prices because the company would put the price in the computer as one thing and on the sticker as another...What a pain in the ass....The only good thing was that I had hours and hours to do nothing but my homework...and learn a few things here and there...I read every muscle mag during the time I worked there, I read BFL twice and some other stuff.. :mix:

Worst thing is, a lot of MDs still prescribe this kind of shit for their obese patients. Read Susan Powter's book about how she transformed herself from a 200lb+ fattie into a slim, muscled, hot babe who runs her own fitness empire. While I would eat more protein than she says in the book, she talks about all the crappy 800-cal-a-day diets the docs put her on than just made her lose muscle and GAIN weight in the long run..... (before she discovered exercise, weights etc).

Last time i checked GNC was a company. And like all companies in America -- it's out to make a profit. Profits that are used to open new stores. New stores that wind up hiring new people like yourself. Profits which pay for your paycheck.

Even GNC didn't sell products the general public wants..someone else will. And that "greedy money" will just wind up going to someone else's pockets. You feel it's a major ripoff? To you..you view it as a GNC that's greedy making money off of cocaine users. How about this supernav... we also sell various products that contain literally none or almost none of what the label claims...GNC knows this, yet we continue to sell it to people at tremendous profit margins who are expecting it to at the very least contain what the label states...and by "we" I mean the company, unless the owner is there, I WILL NOT sell any of that shit even though I get paid mostly on comission...

I just find it particularly disgusting that a company that claims to be devoted to health fitness and helping you "live your best life" makes its greatest profit margin off of the cocaine trade.

AA the owner prevents me from being able to do anything like that, I only take a free protein bar and/or protein drink per day...the owner personifies greed but he's not a horrible horrible guy and I would be stealing from him rather than the corporation so I dont take anything big....

College part time job for me.......HMB bottles are the key. My boss used to tell me that two items stolen a day were average.
i would keep tight watch for my eight hour shift and then steal two items myself. It just so happened that those $40 bottles of HMB kept dissapearing. Wonder how that happened? And what happened to all those buckets of Cell Tech? Lol. Fu** them.

man, i used to get the same shit when i worked at the Vitamin Shoppe. old people were ALWAYS the worst customers to deal with. they would come up to you with a basket full of supplements, and ask you if it would interact with their medications. they would always get super pissed when i told them to check with their doctors, because i dont know. ok, think about it. who would take medical advice from an 18 year old in baggy pants with bleached hair working a part time job? i swear, the caliber of people who go shopping at those stores really makes you question the IQ of the general public.

I tell people straight up what klein-becker is, a hyped up ECA stack that the only difference is $100 price jump. I show them he ingredients, tell them how thermos work and why the only advantage to KB is their aggressive marketing. If they decide to go against my advice because they were put to sleep by the ad, then fuck it, I sell it to them and tell them I hope it works and that they come back next month to buy some more, just dont try to fuckin return it once you realize what it is. That pisses me off.

Same thing with the 24hr diet, people ask me if it "really works" and I tell them no. You drink nothing except that for two days, lose a lot of water weight and shit because you are basically starving yourself and them in the next 48hrs you are right back where you started. I tell them a much better strategy would be to buy a MRP and replace one meal per day, a good thermogenic like Xenadrine, and a multi-vitamin to make sure you are getting all your essential nutrients while dieting.

Then they tell me "I think I'll try the Hollywood Diet." Great, here you go, just never ask me another fuckin question again you lazy bitch.

You have to learn the products and ask questions so that you can put customers on the best program for them. Smart ones realize that they dont know much and put some trust in you. And if you put them on a program they see results with you have a loyal customer for life. People that go for the 48hr diet are just dumbasses for life so might as well take their money. I doubt they would spend it on anything better.

Frac, get out of the corporate GNC and get on with a franchisee. Thats where the money is. You know your shit, and as long as you are a good salesman, its a goldmine. My avg sale was ~$40-50 per customer. Coroprate is like $15-20 or some shit. Once you get in there and blow it up for a franchisee, he will sure as hell compensate you well.

Fuck working for da man, work for THE MAN, you.:D

I also used to work there. That place is a fuckin scam! Something like $106.00 for a 42 pack of myoplex? $55.00 on the net. I used to steal the expensive ass EAS products when I worked there(over 5 years ago). Between false retuns, stealing, and working gold card day(big comission), I made out pretty good. It was also nice just opening a shake or bar for free anytime you wanted. The only reason I ever go there now is the Metrx RTD shakes are only $2 on gold card day.
