what do you guys/gals think about having a pencil thin, close to the skin jaw line accent beard and moustache and keeping my head shaved? too ghetto looking for a southern cracker boy?

I don't like the pencil thin thing.
I just shaved my head this past weekend, and my big full beard looked stupid as fuck, so I trimmed it down to a goatee. It looks pretty cool. I've got kind of a Trotsky look going...

i have a conservative moustache and goatee also, MOST people seem to like it; receive favorable comments from gals and guys on the total face/shaved head look.

but.........


sure do like the pencil thin beard look also. just not too sure if it would agree with the shaved head look.



anybody else have any comments/opinions on this?

The pencil-thin thing is kinda on the way out.

Not too many guys can pull off a shaved head AND a goatee. I, for example, look like a cancer patient with a shaved head. If I grow a gotee it resembles a dead cat hanging on my chin. So, yeah, you gotta have the face/bone structure to make it look good.

And remember, what looks good to you, probably won't look good to women. I had a female freind tell me that only 1 out of 100 guys looks attractive with a beard.

If you were black and decent looking, then yes. But I just can't see it on a white dude. lol

i seem to be doing ok with the shaved head/goatee look; the only negative comment i've received was form my mother (of course). any change form my high school graduation photograph upsets her.

since i am a large, pumped up middle class surburban pale male, the pencil thin beard/shaved head look MIGHT be a little too redical.

how about someone else"s $.02??
