Virus

Does anyone know or ever heard of the virus: Win32:sdbot-44??

I cannot find it anywhere. My anti-virus (ha, that's funny, ANTI-virus) located it in my C:System32 directory and when I boot up, it takes my laptop forever and a day to kick in.

I figure, by the time I get back home, I should be almost booted up.

Anyone, Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?

This is the week from hell and whomever said "This is a doggy dog world and I'm wearing Milkbone underwear" is so on the money.

Ok, maybe not that extreme but I just want to ring the necks of the MotherF'ers who design these pathetic virus's to distrupt everything.

Die you fanatical nards of doom. People's elbows to all of you!!

Ok, I'm finished.

not sure what it is but Ive got it from downloading shit before,my norton anti virus took it off pretty quick though, once I did have to start in safe mode to get the virus out,and it can be a pain in the ass if your anti virus sucks

That's just it, by the time my laptop boots up, I'll be collecting my pension.

Code, any idea's here? If so, PM me please.

Thanks

Nardo, I sent you a link... may help. But then, also may not. ;)

It's the thought that counts, right?

It's remote control software and it makes you "part of the problem," to coin a phrase from the '70s. You could be sending spam, helping the bad guys to attack some innocent site, all kinds of nasty stuff.

You comfortable with Regedit? There's very likely a "run" entry tucked away in "Local Machine/software/Microsoft/Windows/run" that is relaunching the thing. You need to remove that as well as killing the copy running in memory -- Task Manager can probably do that.

Trend Micro (www.antivirus.com) lists something like sixteen pages of variants for sdbot. It likes to spread over Windows shares, so if you're on a home network make sure you disinfect all the other boxes too.

Yea, I'm comfortable with regedit. And how could I be sending spam? Wouldn't my anti-virus (lol, there's that name again..*anti*) determine I'm passing out spam faster then hari-chrishna's handing out leaflets in airports?

My younger brother is a wiz with this crap. I'll run it by him.

Thanks, I'll PM you with any other queries.

Wasn't that Blue Steel?

That was a classic, best movie ever!!

Nah dude. Virus. Came out in 1995 I think. They were aboard a ship or something, and this computer virus made this thing come to life and attack everyone. I never saw it, but I'm sure it's a wretched piece of filmmaking.

Too bad the ship didn't sink while the full cast was onboard.

:D

Have you come down yet, cokehead?

What is it; a "doggy dog world" or a "dog-eat-dog world"? LOL

Who cares what it is you Timothy Leary kaelidescope looking meth head?

And to answer your question..NO, I haven't come down yet. The combination of Nyquil daytabs and helium have me bouncing around like a Margot Kidder experiencing her first bout with bi-polar disease.

LOL, I wonder who's going to find you, and under what type of shrub.

If it alls follows suit, then the NYC police will find me cowering behind the shrub.

Knowing my luck this week, it will probably be plunger cop, Justin Volpe who finds me.
