how about posting up some tips for how we can screw the dealers...err, i mean save money.

wasn't sure the displacement of your bike, i thought i was close. what does it run in the 1/4 btw?

in this discussion, you fail to acknowledge why a stock Viper will beat a stock Supra by .3-4 seconds in the 1/4 mile...and that's because it has more than double the displacement. more than double....2.6 times the displacement! even with THAT much more displacement, the Supra still holds pretty firm ground being under 1/2 second slower in the 1/4 mile.

now, imagine if the japanese build an engine that was 1/2 the size of the viper engine, or hell, say 5-6L displacement.....the viper would look completely pathetic.

Working on sub 9 1/4 runs with my bike......I'm just not that damn good yet.

TWIN TURBO's.........get it....got it......good.

A twin turbo Neon with smaller displacement will run with a Supra.

yeah, but stock twin turbos couldn't equal 5 liters of displacement.

what are the tq/hp numbers of both cars? i do'nt feel like searching so someone else can.

New cars, and used cars are two very different animals. A new car, walk in with the invoice pricing in hand (domestic only) and tell them you would like the car for $1000.00 less. Or during these times of free money, pay slightly below sticker and finance at 0%.

Used cars research the market, ie: looking for a Suburban look on the internet for trucks in Dallas and Oklahoma, as 80% of the Suburbans/Tahoes/Yukons are auctioned in those two states. Your bank should have access to Black Book Values......befriend your bank, or better yet become a dealer.....seems like everyone else is....

no shit on the dealer part....there's 20 used car dealerships within 10 miles of my house, not including the major car dealerships.

all the used car dealers, however, have SHIT cars except for one place.

Both were about the same price. A Viper 95 was 77k$CND (56kUS) while a Supra 95 was 69k$CND (50kUS). On the 1/4 mile, the Viper is hard to beat (stock cars at least). On the 1/2 mile, it's a diferent story. The race could have been closer if the Supra owner had stopped doing these insane burnouts.
