Video of what *real* racism is like

With all the fake racism crap out there...

it's good to remind people what real racism used to be like. And how ugly it is (and this is right here at home!). This man should've been more famous than rosa parks.

Racist Mob Beat Up World War 2 Veteran

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (1950's): A black World War II veteran who fought for America is beaten by cowards who were too chicken to join the army in the war but brave enough to punch an old man in groups.

It was interesting to learn that my German peeps were discriminated against and lynched when I took the mandatory "multiculturalism in America" course. America is one of the least racist countries in the world. If you want to see real racism...go to Japan.

No shit. Did you know there's signs that say non-japanese are not allowed, and certain electronic devices, etc. can't be sold to foreigners! lol

There will always be examples of extremism and there will always be people who hate other people for a variety of reasons. And those people will never be swayed.

I just don't think it represents the majority. I think racism, or the fear or the assumption of it, is often a ploy for certain people to capitalize on it.

But ultimately, it does more harm than good. For example, a slur like the word "nigger" used to be a term that just some idiot would say. But it's been given so much credence, it's been deemed so vile and so offensive, now it has REAL impact.

I think we should just go back to treating it as some word that only an idiot would use and let it go. If someone called me a ginzo, wop, guido, I'd just laugh at them. Maybe I'm naive.

Those signs that say Non-Japanese not allowed are usually for whore houses. They don't want foreigners there due to the spread of aids. Japan despite being occupied by a foreign power is still a pretty closed society. Their aids rate are comparatively lower than all the other nations and they want to keep it that way.

As for the electronic devices, some devices aren't allowed for export. That may be why you can't buy them if you're not a Japanese citizen. It's like trying to buy duty free items if you're a citizen of the country, they won't allow it. Oh and by the way, I just made this all up. It might be true, or it could be wrong. I don't know. I did no research. Just talking out my ass and repeating what I've heard from other people.

I'm split on my decision in regards to Mexicans. A lot of my friends from high school were Mexicans. I've known their families and they were all very nice to me. Most Mexicans I come across on a daily basis are just regular folks. The only Mexicans I don't like are the ones who keep begging me for money when I go to Tijuana. But that's to be expected because it's a poor area and Americans are known to be generous, or spineless, however you want to see it.

But I really think the whole Mexican issue is a lost cause for Americans. Mexicans are pretty god damn patriotic. They'll fight to the death. I'm impressed with their solidarity when it comes to rallying for their marches.

Thanks for giving us that much. That is so true. Lost my close cousin, who was in the marines 2 1/2 yrs ago. I got tons of family from the past and currently in the US military. They served well.
