Video Game Review : Left 4 Dead

Plot - 4 survivors of the zombie plague outbreak must reach the checkpoint to be evacuated to safety. Running through streets, subways, buildings, woods, cornfields, and tunnels/sewers to reach their safe house and restock with ammo and health packs.

Great graphics, great scenery, great maps (straight forward, none of this getting lost and wandering around shit.), running this on the 360 Elite engine.

Downside - Only 4 kinds of zombies to kill. (in addition to the random horde of zombies) You are limited to only one explosive on you at all times (either pipebomb or molotav cocktail) and you can have only one other weapon as well. Weapons speaking of which are not too different from one another. The two shotguns are identical in damage/results only one being the autoloader and holding two more shells. The M16 and uzi basically are the same thing. The sniper rifle is pretty useless all the way around.

You basically just run around from Point A to Point B shooting and blasting anything that moves. The online LIVE! version with co-op play seems to be the redeeming feature, though I only tried that once.

Rating = B+

Its a FPS isnt it? Ive thought about getting it for my 360, but i think it will work better on my PC. Now GOW2 on the other hand works GREAT on the 360.

I am going to try out Deep Space or whatever it is called. They say that game is scarey to play.

I figured that this would mainly be an online game just like CS:Condition Zero.

Replay value on L4Dead is basically zero. Very fun to play though if you want to just destroy things. The graphics and interface were great IMO but if it has no replayability I don't like it.

Dead Space is one of my games of the year. Get it, you will not be disappointed.

For some reason I couldn't get into it. Spectacular graphics and interface just like Oblivion but I liked Oblivion way more. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance.

The co-op is where it's at. Also, the PC version blows the console version out of the water. Better framerates, better aiming, more frantic pace, etc. Oh well at least the 360 has Gears of War 2 and Halo 3!
